THE third period has begun and the Vegas Golden Knights lead the Florida Panthers 2-1.

Brandon Montour scored a goal after a breakaway from the Panthers and with four minutes remaining in the first period Mark Stone cashed in a goal.

With five minutes remaining in the second period, Jonathan Marchessault put the Knights ahead with a Power Play goal.

The Florida Panthers are attempting to cut into the Vegas Golden Knights’ 2-0 lead.

Vegas has dominated the series thus far outscoring Florida 12 goals to four in the first two games.

The Golden Knights are seeking their first Stanley Cup since joining the NHL as an expansion team in the 2017 season.

Like Vegas, the Florida Panthers are also seeking their first Stanley Cup.
