Allnigeriasoccer.com‘s round-up of Nigeria-eligible players
that were in action for their respective clubs in the English Premier
League on Saturday, February 26, 2021.

At Brentford Community Stadium, Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka continued his bench role for the Bees in a 2-0 loss to Newcastle United.

An excellent first half by the Magpies saw Joelinton and Joe Willock find the net.

The last of Onyeka’s eighteen Premier League appearances came against Manchester City on February 9.

Crystal Palace and Burnley shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park, with 2021 Super Eagles invitee Michael Olise going the distance and Eberechi Eze a non-playing substitute.

Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp gave the Eagles a perfect start in the ninth minute when he volleyed the ball home on a stretch after he was set up by Olise but the Clarets leveled through an own goal from Milivojevic in the 46th minute.

At Old Trafford, Watford earned an unlikely but precious point after forcing Manchester United to a goalless draw.

Emmanuel Dennis went the full ninety, William Troost-Ekong was a non-playing substitute while Oghenekaro Etebo and Samuel Kalu were not in the matchday squad for the Hornets.

Dennis had a gilt-edged chance to put Watford ahead in the 52nd minute but saw his shot take a deflection and saved by goalkeeper David de Gea.

In the ongoing game the American Express Community
Stadium, Brighton & Hove’s teenage right-back Odeluga Offiah
received his first call-up for a Premier League game against Steven
Gerrard’s Aston Villa.

With ten minutes to go, the Lions were leading 2-0 courtesy of Matty Cash’s shot from range that went in off the post in the 17th minute and Ollie Watkins’ 68th minute effort.

In the late kickoff, Super Eagles winger Alex Iwobi starts for Everton in their big clash against table toppers Manchester City at Goodison Park.
