Damian Lewis and Alison Mosshart confirm their romance as they cosy up at private members’ club bash

Damian Lewis and Alison Mosshart confirmed their romance as they cosied up for a sweet photo together at private members’ club The House of KOKO’s first Summer Party on Wednesday.

The Homeland actor, 51, and the American rocker, 43, have been pictured together during a variety of outings in recent weeks and it was even revealed by MailOnline that Damian has received the approval of Alison’s mother.

His new romance comes one year after he was devastated by his beloved wife Helen McCrory‘s death from cancer.

Damien flashed a smile for the camera as Alison wrapped her arm tightly around his shoulders.

The frontwoman of The Kills donned a star printed blouse with a black satin pussybow tie and gold necklaces.

She wore her blonde locks straight and kept her makeup subtle opting for a feline flick of black eyeliner.

Damain opted for a black button up T-shirt and swept his red locks back from his face.

The duo were joined by The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince, the ex-husband of Kate Moss, as well as Ellie Goulding, film director Darren Strowger and singer Dionne Bromfield.

The event saw an impromptu live jam take place in the Penthouse where musicians and artists entertained the members and guests in one long live session which saw people dancing all through the night.

Elsewhere, poetry was heard in one of the House’s secret rooms while rum punch was decadently served in the piano room as different artists took to the keys.

The House of KOKO situated at the back of the KOKO theatre and since reopening in April it has hosted spectacular shows from Arcade Fire, Jorja Smith.

It comes as Damian got the seal of approval from his new rock singer girlfriend’s mother who says she can’t wait to meet the Homeland star.

The pair met through friends while hanging out in London and have grown increasingly fond of one another, Alison’s mother Vivian, 76, has revealed.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com from her home in Florida, Vivian, 76, said: ‘I don’t know how much flak I’m going to get for all of this but of course we are excited for her.

‘They have mutual friends. I don’t know exactly how they met but I’m fine with it. If she’s happy, we are happy. I’m yet to meet him but certainly I’d like to.’

Alison from Vero Beach, Florida, is best known as a lead vocalist for the rock bands The Kills and The Dead Weather.

She got her start in music when she formed the pop-punk band Discount at the age of 17 alongside a few friends.

Discount went their separate ways in 2000 and Alison formed the band she would become most known for – The Kills – alongside British guitarist Jamie in the same year.

Alison began to mix in celebrity circles through her work relationship with Jamie, after he began dating supermodel Kate Moss.

Damian’s late wife, Peaky Blinders actress Helen, died in April last year at the age of 52 after a secret battle with breast cancer. They had been married since 2007.

When Helen died in April last year, Damian revealed how his late wife had urged him to find love again, telling him and their son and daughter that she wanted ‘Daddy to have lots of girlfriends.’

Damian added in the social media post: ‘She died as she lived. Fearlessly. God we love her and know how lucky we are to have had her in our lives. She blazed so brightly. Go now, Little One, into the air.’
