Brian Laundrie death update – Gabby Petito’s fiancé ‘had an American-flag covered gun in his bedroom,’ pictures reveal

SOME photos previously surfaced of Brian Laundrie’s room, and one shows an American-flag-covered gun.

In the picture, a gun painted to resemble the American flag hangs on the shelf and a chilling poster depicting violent stabbings and beatings sits on a nearby bookshelf.

Internet sleuths are still trying to figure out the meaning of the gun in the snapshot.

Meanwhile, mystery still surrounds Laundrie’s cause of death, after his remains were found last month.

Laundrie’s bones were located at Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park on October 21 and the next day, it was reported that initial autopsy results came back inconclusive and his bones would be sent to an anthologist in an attempt to determine a cause of death.

Laundrie was found after Gabby Petito was last seen on August 24, 2021, checking out of a hotel with Brian in Salt Lake City, Utah and she was reported missing on September 11 by her mother after Brian returned home without her on September 1.

On September 19, 2021, authorities in Wyoming announced a body was found in the area where the search for Gabby had been underway.

  • NO AUTOPSY RESULTS?

Brian Laundrie’s autopsy results came back inconclusive on November 3, leaving many to wonder what happened.

People became outspoken on Twitter, with one person calling for them to provide some form of closure for Gabby Petito’s family.

“They Need To Hurry Up On The Autopsy Of Brian Laundrie So The Petito’s Have Some Kind Of Closure,” one person posted on Twitter.

  • WILD ANIMALS MAY HAVE SNACKED ON BRIAN’S REMAINS

Tom Joyce, a retired NYPD commander, exclusively told The Sun that the remains of Brian Laundrie have likely suffered “a lot of post mortem predation.

“If the remains are skeletal, that means the tissue has been pulled away from the bones,” Joyce said. “Most likely by alligators, crabs, fish, and stuff like that.

“That’s what it sounds like to me because it’s definitely not long enough time for it to go naturally.”

  • HOW WERE BRIAN LAUNDRIE’S REMAINS IDENTIFIED?

After an almost five-week manhunt, cops last week found “partial remains” in the Carlton Reserve, Sarasota.

They positively identified the “skull and bones” as belonging to Brian Laundrie, 23, through his dental records.

A cause of death has not been released as the remains were sent to an anthropologist.

Ever since Gabby Petito was reported missing and later found dead, internet sleuths have also trawled through Laundrie’s social media.

Laundrie was last seen alive on September 13 after telling his parents, Chris and Roberta, that he was going hiking in the Carlton Reserve, in Sarasota County, Florida but failed to return home.

Cops found a notebook while Chris Laundrie unearthed a dry bag.

  • LAUNDRIE FAMILY ATTORNEY INSISTS ‘NO DEAL WAS CUT’

Web sleuths have similarly speculated Laundrie’s parents “made a deal” with the FBI to reveal what they know about where the location of his body might be on the condition they were free from prosecution.

In a TV interview, Steven Bertolino, the lawyer for Laundrie’s family, said “conversations were had with respect to certain charges” insisted “no deal was cut” after claims were put to him.

But internet detectives believe there were “clearly negotiations” that they claim led to Laundrie’s parents telling authorities information related to where their son’s body was – in exchange for immunity from being prosecuted.

Speculation was mounting online as to what “articles” of Brian Laundrie’s were found by investigators inside a Florida nature reserve on October 21, in a crucial development in the search for the fugitive.

His parents, Chris and Roberta Laundrie, were at the 24,000-acre park assisting with a police search when a number of unspecified articles belonging to Laundrie were found.

The FBI announced in a press conference that they discovered a backpack and a notebook that belonged to Brian Laundrie.

  • TIMELINE MURKY AS ATTORNEY, COPS MAKE CONFLICTING STATEMENTS

Police didn’t know Brian Laundrie was missing until four days after he vanished despite his family’s lawyer insisting he contacted the FBI immediately.

Laundrie family attorney Steve Bertolino was asked to clarify the timeline after questions were reignited by speculation over how and when Laundrie died.

Laundrie was reported missing to the Northport Police Department by his parents Chris and Roberta on September 17.

It later emerged that the couple last saw their son on September 13, when they said he set out for a solo hiking trip.

In interviews this week, Bertolino revealed for the first time that he’d contacted the FBI to alert them that Brian was missing when he didn’t return home on the 13th.

Northport Police spokesman Josh Taylor responded to Bertolino’s claim with surprise, saying that his department had no idea Brian was missing until the report was filed by his parents on September 17.

  • OVERDOSE?

Some web sleuths now claim Brian Laundrie used Gabby Petito’s water bottle to mix a cocktail of drugs before he overdosed.

Hikers found a Nalgene water bottle thought to match one that belonged to Gabby days after cops found bone fragments in the Florida wilderness.

One web sleuth said: “I don’t know why people assume the water bottle is not important. Maybe it contained an overdose of drugs mixed with water as his method of death.”

Another commented: “I think it’s important to Gabby’s case as in: it was her bottle, and Brian took it, why?”

“He knew she wouldn’t need it anymore. He knew she was dead.”

  • PHOTOS FROM RESERVE WHERE LAUNDRIE’S REMAINS WERE FOUND

A Twitter user shared photos from an area they claimed was nearby where Brian Laundrie’s remains were ultimately discovered.

“There are two young people that have now lost their lives,” Bertolino said. “These are parents that are suffering.

“Now, I understand that whatever happened or whatever didn’t happen,” he added. “This is tragic for two families.”

“And anybody with a child, and anybody with a sense of humanity can understand the frustration that both families feel on that point.”

The thousands of dollars in fees charged by Moab police the dissemination of the footage – which grabbed national spotlight – cost three times more than what the department had expected to take in for the entire fiscal year of fee revenues, the Salt Lake Tribune reported citing a city budget document.

Moab Police Department charged 30 entities – mostly news organizations – $98 to provide the footage totaling $2,940,  according to a document The Tribune obtained through an open records request.

The law enforcement agency has since agreed to refund the fees which may have violated Utah law.

The August 12 recordings showed the 22-year-old Gabby holding her neck and explaining to both Moab and park officers that her fiance Brian had “scratched and grabbed” her, causing the bruises – nearly a month before the woman was reported missing and later found dead.

Laundrie captioned the picture: “Who watches the Watchmen? Swipe for some Rorschach tests.”
