Amotekun: Nigerians React As Tinubu Declares Support For Outfit

All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, Bola Tinubu, today finally made his position known on Operation Amotekun public.

Operation Amotekun, a regional security outfit formally known as Western Nigeria Security Network, was recently launched by the southwest governors to address the challenges of insecurity in the region.

It will be recalled that Amotekun is the code name given to the security outfit set up by governors of the South-West zone to combat security challenges in the region.

Shortly after the launch of the outfit however, the federal government speaking through the Attorney General of the federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami declared the outfit illegal.

The federal government’s position has since been rejected by the state governors and many other pressure, political and social-cultural groups.

In all of these, many people expected Tinubu to have spoken, with some already even calling him out for his silence all the while.

Tinubu did not build Lagos, the city had already enjoyed Federal Capital Status before 1999. We’ve all seen Tinubu’s footprints in Osun, Ogun & Lagos which leaves much to be desired! Shud cabal allow Tinubu safe passage in 2023, Nigeria will be reduced to the GDP of Burkina Faso.
