When Sabers Rattle
General of The Army General Douglas Mac Arthur has been right all along “War is the most malignant scourge of mankind.” This is something Trump doesn’t understand. This latest debacle of foreign policy and military action blunders just might have unleashed a torrent of violent reprisals against freedoms everywhere. Make no mistake the rashness of Trump to unleash deadly force can’t quite grasp that two wrongs don’t make it right.
We have to remember going as far back to the first Bush Administration to understand how the United States has plundered and blundered their way through the Mid-East. Every Administration since has only heightened tensions through-out the world. It’s not bad enough that our planet is in the mist of one of the greatest threats to all lifeforms. But, when you add the foreign policies of the past 30 years or so many might ask are we in the end of times as we know it? The Bible has foretold of Armageddon, an apocalyptic scenario where the fate of humanity hangs in the balance. And, if we aren’t careful this time may be it.
Our leaders have forgotten what history is supposed to teach us. For if they had our world would be much safer now. We had better make haste to quell the mistrust amidst the hunger for retaliation of nations. What our leaders were allowed to get away with only to feed their hunger for more power, control, and wealth is indisputable. We continue to witness the results of these atrocities.
Now the questions are: With the world teetering on the brink of destruction where at any moment Trump bellows his way in antagonizing whether it is Iran, Iraq, or North Korea what can be done to extinguish the flames of hate and reprisals by all? Or do we sit back and allow this Administration to get away with murder? We have already seen what Trump has order the military to do. And, is the top brass of the military so spineless in accepting and not questioning what ever Trump orders?
We need leaders who are compassionate not belligerent. We need leaders who understand the differences in cultures and seek ways of mutual respect, understanding and affection. We need leaders who are capable to use tolerance in bringing lasting peace with all nations. It is too bad because Trump has and is showing how incapable he really is in understanding what needs to be done to alleviate this mounting crisis in the Mid-East that our leaders and Administrations have created in the first place.
