Npower Batch C Biometric: Possible Reasons Why the NASIMS Website Still Doesn’t Work
The selection process of the new batch of Npower beneficiaries (batch C) which started on Thursday the 10th of March, 2021 by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Investment program, through the nasims portal has on Friday started the shortlisting of the successful candidate.
This came after a long wait for applicants who were so eager to find out their faith after the test and could not get the real limit.
Some of them still believe that the selection list will start soon, others thought that the program may not continue due to the current economic reality, some others still believe that it will happen but will start when the election campaign starts.
Be that as it may, the reality is that the list of candidates has begun and a biometric check is underway.
However, it looks like the candidate will still have to wait a bit as the site has stopped responding since Friday night.
It is possible that the site has crashed due to too much traffic because many candidates are trying to join at once. This is not news for the candidates as they have experienced it countless times during the selection test.
This time, we suspect that this is being done deliberately to give them time to sort out some things.
This is because we do not have advance notice to Cybercafes or individuals of the requirements for their system for candidates to successfully complete a biometric check, as it is very difficult to find a phone (if any) with a 32/64-bit processor.
Allowing the portal to continue to operate until Cybercafe is fully operational will be counterproductive, as they will have to send millions of complaints in their letters to be combated, and I do not think they are ready for that.
The biometric process is a high-tech data process that requires a lot of things to move smoothly, and since this is the first time they are using this module, a lot will be experienced.
So I advise candidates to have patience and understanding. They should not be in too much of a hurry or confined, as all successful candidates will have time to complete their biometric verification.
