Use Only the Official Portal for the Presidential Palliative Programs

Nigerians, beware! Unauthorized platforms are spreading misinformation and claiming false association with the Presidential Palliative Programmes. To protect yourself and your information, only use the official government portal for accessing authentic updates and submitting applications.

This urgent warning comes from the Honourable Minister for Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite. She emphasizes the importance of staying vigilant and avoiding unauthorized channels that may exploit unsuspecting individuals.

“Remember, all applications and information regarding the Presidential Palliative Programmes are FREE of charge,” Dr. Uzoka-Anite reiterates. Paying anyone to process your application is not only unnecessary but also potentially puts your data at risk.

This reminder is particularly crucial in light of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s announcement in July 2023. He pledged N125 billion in funding for Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) through the Presidential Palliative Loan Programme. This initiative aims to boost the economy and empower businesses facing various challenges.

Under this program, N75 billion will be specifically allocated to MSMEs across diverse sectors, while the remaining N75 billion will support manufacturers. This targeted approach aims to spur growth and development across the entire spectrum of the Nigerian business landscape.

However, the surge in interest surrounding the program has unfortunately attracted unscrupulous individuals seeking to take advantage of vulnerable Nigerians. Dr. Uzoka-Anite therefore urges everyone to remain vigilant and follow these crucial steps:

  • Access information and submit applications ONLY through the official portal: http://fedgrantandloan.gov.ng.
  • Be wary of any platform claiming association with the program that isn’t officially endorsed by the government.
  • Never pay anyone to process your application. The entire process is completely free.
  • Report any suspicious activity or misinformation to the relevant authorities.

By staying informed, exercising caution, and utilizing only the official channels, you can safeguard yourself from deception and ensure that you benefit from the valuable resources offered by the Presidential Palliative Programmes. Remember, empowering your business starts with protecting your information and utilizing verified resources.
