The YWCA (Young Women’s Christian Association) is a non-profit organization, Salem, TamilNadu, India, providing programs for women based on the perceived need in the communities. Programs we provide are women care, child care, health and wellness, and employment training, The YWCA of Salem is affiliated to the YWCA of India and it is therefore part of the world YWCA.

Membership at YWCA
Membership in the YWCA open to any woman who wishes to join the worldwide fellowship of YWCA, and is in sympathy with its aims and shares in its activities.
Membership in the YWCA of Salem carries with it membership of YWCA of India which is a participating member of the world YWCA.

Founded by Mrs. J.Vedamuthu and Mrs.S.Rajah D. Stephens. YWCA of Salem is governed locally by board of management an elected body from membership annually. It is affiliated to National YWCA located at New Delhi therefore part of World YWCA. General secretary is the appointed person professional leader managing the whole programs entrusted to board of management
