Over a million applications have been received for the National Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) as at yesterday going by information released on the official Twitter handle of President Muhammadu Buhari (PMB).
PMB took to his confirmed Twitter handle yesterday evening to announce the figure with the hashtag #NationalYouthDay. The tweet reads: “Over a million applications have already been received since the N75 billion Naira National Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) Portal went live on Oct. 12, 2020. This Fund will invest in the innovative ideas, skills, and talents of the young Nigerians”
VON reports that: The NYIF is an initiative of the ministry of youths and sports, it is funded by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The NYIF is aimed at investing in business ideas of youths, with the ultimate aim of creating jobs and reducing unemployment.
NYIF is dedicated to investing in the innovative ideas, skills, talents and enterprise of the Nigerian youth with the aim of turning them into entrepreneurs.
