NIMC will not ask anyone to disclose his/her BVN or Bank details” – NIMC
The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) whose mandate is to establish, own, operate,maintain and manage the national identity database in Nigeria has posted on their social media (twitter) platform regarding to some criminal activity going on during this NIN registration process.
The board (NIMC) explains that, some people are pretending to be NIMC staff or officials, contacting unsuspecting individuals whereby asking for their bank details and BVN in linking of NIN to their SIM’s.
And they further explain that NIMC will not ask anyone to disclose his or her BVN or bank details to them in quest of linking NIN or registration.
The only advisable place you get your NIMC news and info online, is through twitter, Facebook, instagram and LinkedIn and it has been verified. Other ones you see that are not verified are not NIMC. So be careful on how and who you share the bank details to online, phone calls or physical.
The board advised everyone to keep their personal information to their self so that they will not fall victim of all these fraudsters.
