After five defeats on the bounce, Chelsea academy product Ike Ugbo helped Racing Genk returning to winning ways, scoring a brace as the current holders thrashed Sint-Eloois-Winkel 6-0 in the Belgian Cup.

Ugbo got them on their way when he converted a spot kick in the 33rd minute and netted Genk’s fifth of the evening in the 82nd minute, taking his tally to a respectable 4 goals in 11 matches.

Still in the Belgian Cup, Bayern Munich loanee Joshua Zirkzee scored a first half brace as Anderlecht thrashed RAAL La Louvière 7-1.

Ex-Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi has been in great form of late and confirmed that impressive form by netting his 12th of the season to help Union Berlin defeat SV Waldhof Mannheim 3-1 in the DFB Pokal.

The 2013 U17 World Cup winner, off the bench in the 71st minute,  finished from the edge of the box to make it 2-1 four minutes into extra time.

With just five minutes on the clock, Olayinka chipped the goalkeeper to score what proved to be the game-winning goal.

Over to the Norwegian top-flight. Moses Ebiye made an immediate impact after coming off the bench for Tromso, helping them to a 2-0 win against Odd. He netted the clincher at minute 83, less than two minutes after entering the fray.

Kano-born Austria U21 international Chukwubuike Adamu‘s 73rd minute goal helped Red Bull Salzburg to a 3-0 success against SKN St. Pölten in an OFB clash at the NV Arena.

In the Croatian Hrvatski nogometni kup, NK Lokomotiva Zagreb defeated the home team NK Varazdin 3-2 , with Nigeria underage international Ibrahim Aliyu needing only six minutes to break the deadlock.

Finally, Geoffrey Chinedu kept his cool to convert a 59th minute penalty as Lahti registered an emphatic 3-0 win over Mariehamn in a Finnish Veikkausliiga Relegation Group tie staged at the  Wiklöf Holding Arena.
