Nigeria squad announcement : Eight things to note on Super Eagles 23-man roster:: All Nigeria Soccer
The Nigeria Football Federation has announced the Super Eagles squad list for the international friendly against Portugal scheduled to take place at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon on Thursday, November 17.
Three goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders and seven strikers have been summoned for the friendly by manager Jose Peseiro.

1) The roster hold an average age of 24.7 years as at Friday, November 11. William Troost-Ekong is the oldest player at 29 and the youngest is Adebayo Adeleye, the only 2000-born player.
2) Eight players are aged 23 or younger : Maduka Okoye, Adebayo Adeleye, Calvin Bassey, Samuel Chukwueze, Terem Moffi. Victor Osimhen, Ebube Duru and Bruno Onyemaechi.
3) Players represent clubs in fourteen different countries : England (7), Italy (3), France (2),Cyprus (1), Israel (1), South Africa (1), Netherlands (1), Germany (1), Nigeria (1), Portugal (1), Turkey (1), Greece (1), Spain (1) , Belgium (1) .
4) Seven players were born in European countries : Germany (2), Netherlands (2), England (2) and Italy (1).
5) Four players are in contention to make their international debuts : Bright Osayi-Samuel, Bruno Onyemaechi, Adebayo Adeleye, Ebube Duru.
6) Eleven players have played at least one game for the Super Eagles against European opponents. They are Uzoho, Troost-Ekong, Ebuehi, Aribo, Iwobi, Ndidi, Etebo, Simon, Chukwueze, Osimhen, Dennis.
7) Tyronne Ebuehi is in line to become the first player from Empoli to represent the Super Eagles.
8) Four players have represented Nigeria in a FIFA World Cup at youth level. They are Osimhen, Ndidi, Simon and Chukwueze.
