Nigeria Immigration Service recruitment 2022 updates » Voice of Nigeria

Immigration Service clears air on 2022 recruitment

The Nigerian Immigration Service has denied reports that it is recruiting.

A statement issued by the Acting Controller General of Immigration, Isa Jere Idris, said the fake public notices circulating on social media announcing a general recruitment/transfer exercise in the service were bogus.

He said that the report was created by some fraudsters, who were trying to cheat and exploit unknown members of the public to distribute their hard earned money for non-existent positions.

Idris advised Nigerians to ignore the publications as it was not conducting any recruitment exercise.

“Therefore, the Acting Controller wishes to use this opportunity to deter members of the public from falling into the trap of fraudulent job traders who are out to defraud them with hollow promises of offering jobs in the service.” They said.

Idris noted that the service uses traditional and popular social media tools, including its website, to announce recruitment practices.

Idris assured that efforts are being made to trace the culprits of such fake publications to bring them to justice.
