Newly Deployed NPower Teachers Ignore Junior Schools Opt For Senior Secondary Schools » Voice of Nigeria

The N-Power scheme is an intervention Program by the Federal Government to provide employment for unemployed graduates which cut across different area of human endeavor.

Among these is the teaching Proffesion which is regarded as the mother of all Profession considering it’s importance on child’s development.

Therefore, Teachers in this scheme are being deployed to Teach in both Primary and Secondary level of our Educational system.

Going by the experience of batch A and batch B, N-Power Teachers in the past, It is evidently clear that the newly deployed Batch C N-Power Teachers, are delibrately avoiding the Junior Secondary Schools and opting for Senior Secondary Schools apparently because of the general nature of work load in the Junior Secondary Schools, compared to the Senior Secondary Schools where the subjects are according to the chosen discipline of the Student, i.e Science , Arts and Commercial.

This act being exibited by some of the batch C N-Power Teachers was made possible through a loophole in their letters of deployment which does not state clearly if they are to report to either the Junior or the Senior Secondary Schools.

Those who are in charge of the online deployment of the N-Power Teachers, should endeavor to specify in the subsequent Batch C deployment letters to clearly indicate the section which they are to report to as many of the Junior Schools do not have enough manpower to work with.
