As the 500,000 exited Npower volunteers are still expecting a positive response from the Federal Government concerning a favourable exit package, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Sadiya Umar Farouq has another statement which also increased the hope of the beneficiaries for a better package.

The Minister who responded to some questions asked by journalists on Channels Tv in a recent interview mentioned that the Federal Government of Nigeria has resolved to empower volunteers with soft loans.

In her response to the Channels Tv interview, she said

” We are on the final stage of the loan plan, all arrangements are on point to empower over 500,000 volunteers with soft loans needed to pursue their businesses…”, Sadiya responded.

The Minister restated the government’s commitment and readiness to disburse adequate fund for the commencement of Next CBN loan programme.

Sadiya further said: “Fund has been budgeted and in due time, each volunteer will get a minimum of 300,000 depending on the business a volunteer would present. Disbursement will start soon”.

In the interview, the Minister also enjoined volunteers who are yet to register at the nexit Portal to do same. According to her, further instructions would be communicated to the volunteers accordingly.

If we should go by the Minister’s words, it is then certain that the exited Npower volunteers would soon be empowered by the Federal Government with reasonable exit package.
