Kardashian trial LIVE – Blac Chyna & Rob’s relationship slammed as ‘gross’ after Kris Jenner’s bombshell texts revealed

At the trial where Blac Chyna and the Kardashians are facing off, Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna’s relationship was slammed as “gross” by a former president of E! Entertainment on Tuesday.

During cross-examination from Michael Rhodes, the Kardashians’ attorney, former E! president Adam Stotsky called Rob and Chyna’s relationship “gross” and said allegations of physical and emotional violence were not on brand for the network, and it was no longer the show they bought when it came time to consider a season 2.

Plus, texts and emails presented in court allegedly from Kris and the rest of the Kardashian/Jenner family showed their worries about Rob and Blac Chyna’s show due to the state of their relationship during its first season.

In fact, leaked messages revealed Khloe and Kim Kardashian even threatened to quit the family’s reality show if Chyna’s spinoff wasn’t canceled.

Chyna is suing the Kardashian family for allegedly being the reason the second season of her reality show, Rob & Chyna, was canceled.

Chyna, whose real name is Angela Renée White, is asking for more than $100million in damages.

  • Witnesses lined-up

Chyna’s attorney Lynne Ciani said that she had no other witnesses to call up today; however, the Kardashians’ attorney Michael Rhodes said that he will be calling matriarch Kris Jenner’s boyfriend Corey Gambale to the stand.

According to The Sun reporter at the trial, Gambale is meant to arrive in court this afternoon.

  • Seacrest speaks on 2 of Rob & Chyna

Seacrest said that he’d never heard about season two of Rob & Chyna and that he never spoke with any of the Kardashians or Chyna about the season, according to The Sun reporter in court today.

Ciani asked if it was normal to regularly be in contact with Kris Jenner and for these conversations never to come up, to which he said it was “likely.”

He was later presented with a copy of a tweet he sent on December 14, 2016, in which he congratulated his “brother Rob” on the pickup of season two.

But he said he didn’t recall anything about filming for a second season and even though he’s listed as an executive producer on all of the spin-offs, he has no physical duties.

  • Seacrest on Chyna

The Live! host said in his video deposition that he had not met Chyna in person but that he did have her and Rob on his show twice to promote Rob & Chyna.

On his first impressions of Chyna, Seacrest said “she was bold and memorable.”

  • Ryan Seacrest’s deposition

In his video deposition today, Seacrest recalled how he was a co-creator of Keeping Up With The Kardashians when the show was sold to E!, according to The Sun reporter at the trial.

He also said in his deposition that he had little to do with the show in recent years, but spoke up to give his opinion on certain aspects of the show.

  • What is the lawsuit about, part three

Chyna is suing the family for $100million, claiming that they ruined her reality TV career.

Chyna is seeking more than $40m for loss of earning damages and more than $60m in loss of future earning capacity damages, according to court filings in the case against the Kardashians.

The family responded to the claims with their own lawsuit, alleging that Chyna had attacked Rob.

  • What is the lawsuit about, continued

Chyna was previously engaged to Rob Kardashian and they have a daughter together, Dream.

The pair starred in their own E! reality show together, Rob & Chyna, which aired for one season in 2016.

The second season was being shot when the two broke up, but it was scrapped and never aired.

  • What is the lawsuit about?

Blac Chyna is claiming in the court case that the Kardashians are the reason why the second series of her reality show was canceled.

The court case will determine if there is rightful cause for Chyna to receive a pay-out for the missed opportunity of a season two of her reality show.

  • How long is the trial expected to be?

The trial began on Monday, April 18 with jury selection.

It is expected to go on for at least 10 days, according to Glamour.

  • When did Rob & Chyna air?

Rob & Chyna explored Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna’s relationship as they prepared to have their first child, Dream.

On September 11, 2016, the program debuted on E!.

  • What is Blac Chyna’s net worth?

Chyna’s net worth is estimated to be $10million according to Celebrity Net Worth.

  • Final stages ‘never happened’

Stotsky also added that the final stages of green lightning a show would be to have a story meeting and discussions with Bumin/Murray Productions, along with having talent sign the relevant paperwork.

He insisted those things never happened.

  • Could KarJenners kill season 2?

The voice of the attorney, Rhodes, boomed in the court room as he asked Stotsky: “Do you believe my clients were trying to kill season two?!” as he gestured towards Kris Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner, the Sun reporter noted.

Stotsky smiled and replied: “With all due respect, they don’t have the authority to actually do that.”

He later added: “We cannot produce a show called Rob & Chyna if there is not a couple called Rob and Chyna.”

During re-direct by Lynne Ciani, she pointed out that the couple’s relationship was allegedly “too gross” to feature on E! as a spin-off, but they were not too gross to appear on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Stotsky insisted that wasn’t his testimony and that the couple would only appear on the main show during couple’s therapy.

  • Relationship was too ‘toxic’

During cross-examination from Michael Rhodes, the Kardashians’ attorney, Stotsky called Rob and Chyna’s relationship “gross” and said allegations of physical and emotional violence were not on brand for the network, and that their series was no longer the show they bought.

He claimed in the beginning that they had seen the relationship blossom and that fans were excited to see Rob after so long, but things had turned too toxic.

  • No storyline discussed

Even though Stotsky confirmed in court on Tuesday that a PDM was approved, he told the jury there were two aspects to the green light — one financial, the other creative.

He insisted that the latter part never happened because the couple had split and there could not be a Rob & Chyna show without Rob and Chyna as a couple.

He added that despite E! sending out a press announcement, this did not mean a season two was definitely going ahead, because they had not discussed a storyline.

  • Blac Chyna’s mom banned from trial

Chyna’s mom Tokyo Toni was banned from attending the rest of the trial by the judge after she went on a social media rant against the Kardashians and Jenners on Monday, April 18, 2022.

In an Instagram video, filled with profanities, she criticized all of the Kardashian women and called Kris “decrepit.”

  • KarJenners seek to shield ‘financial condition’

According to documents uncovered by Radar Online, ahead of the trial getting underway, the Kardashian-Jenner clan filed a motion demanding that “any conversation or evidence regarding their wealth or financial condition should be banned from the jury trial.”

The request also stated that Chyna only be permitted to discuss their financial state if “the jury returns a verdict awarding damages.”

  • Was season 2 greenlit?

Adam Stotsky, former president of E! Entertainment, then took the stand and the jury was shown emails he sent claiming season 2 of Rob & Chyna had been green lit and asking for a PDM — a production deal memo relating to funds for the show.

A response from a colleague claimed the PDM had been approved.

  • Kim questioned further

Cinai asked how Kim knew Chyna got paid, and Kim claimed she’d heard in earlier testimony Chyna received the $100k kill fee for her cancelation, along with $370k for her four episodes with KUWK.

Additional texts to a producer for KUWK showed the camera crew were directed to avoid shooting Chyna directly as much as possible, and even suggested blurring her in scenes, which Kim claimed would be “ridiculous.”

Kim held her own on the stand, and often when asked if she sent various texts and emails she would reply: “I don’t remember a text I sent this morning.”

She said asking if Chyna was getting paid and not wanting to give her hope was a way to “manage expectations,” saying Chyna was not a full time cast member or a family member and therefore should not expect to be in scenes.

  • ‘She got paid for it, right?’

The court also heard how Rob Kardashian was “crying all day” because he felt Blac Chyna only showed up to see the family because she wanted to film, and Kim demanded she not be filmed.

Kim asked: “She can have no false hope that she’s on our show. Is she getting paid?” according to the texts read in the courtroom.

As she testified, Kim, who was quick to often fire back at Ciani on the stand, insisted on the fact that she didn’t know if Chyna was getting paid showed she knew nothing about Chyna’s contracts with E!

Ciani asked if Kim knew that Chyna never appeared in any more episodes after her demands, to which she quipped: “She got paid for it, right?”

  • Kim’s alleged texts shown in court

Text messages allegedly sent by Kim were presented in court today:

Kim allegedly raged: “I’m going to officially take a break because I don’t want to do this anymore because this is so confusing, this is just not happening, I can’t believe no one listens to us, no one respects us, it’s just not happening.”

“Chyna can never be on her show,” read one message.

However, in court, she told Chyna’s attorney, Lynne Ciani, that her texts are often voice dictated and she meant “our” show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

  • Kim also allegedly threatened to quit

Kim also took the stand this morning, where texts and emails she allegedly sent claimed the family would stop filming their reality show if the Rob & Chyna show continued.

Kim said she did not recall sending them out in 2016, when she allegedly told her sisters to call producer Jeff Olde.

  • Khloe allegedly threatened to quit in email

Khloe Kardashian took the stand first, where an email she sent to E! was presented:

“We are even considering not moving forward with our show if theirs continues, that’s how strongly we feel this is damaging to our family.”

Khloe did not deny sending the email when questioned by Chyna’s attorney, Lynne Ciani.

Chyna is seeking more than $40m for loss of earning damages and more than $60m in loss of future earning capacity damages, according to court filings in the case against the Kardashians.
