Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez celebrate the New Year with family at ‘crazy disco party’ in St. Barts

Jeff Bezos celebrated New Years aboard a luxury yacht in the Caribbean with partner Lauren Sanchez, a former flame she split with years ago, and that ex’s new girlfriend.

The Amazon founder, 57, took to Instagram Saturday to share several snaps from the St. Bart bash, which was attended by Sanchez’s ex-fiance Tony Gonzalez and his wife October.

Gonzalez – a former NFL star who dated Sanchez until 2015 – was accompanied on the $38,000-a-week chartered yacht by the adult son they share, Nikko. Also aboard the 88-foot boat was Bezos’ young brother Mark, and others.

Although they in 2005, Sanchez and Gonzalez appear to be on good terms, and have been spotted together with Bezos on previous occasions.

During the new year celebrations, Bezos wore a tight-fitting disco-type outfit to show off his new physique, while beau Sanchez wore a ring on her wedding finger. The couple have yet to comment on rumors they’re engaged.

Before hooking up with Bezos, Sanchez was engaged to four others; she married Patrick Whitesell in 2005 but the relationship ended after her affair with Bezos was exposed in 2019.

The illicit romance also ended Bezos’ 25-year marriage to MacKenzie Scott, with whom he shares four children.

Sanchez’ ex Gonzalez has also moved on from their failed relationship, and married TV personality October Gonzalez in 2017. She co-hosted the first season of gameshow Beat Shazam with actor Jamie Foxx.

She shared photos on Instagram of herself posing with Sanchez on St. Barts, and later ringing in the new year with her family on the yacht.

Gonzalez’ current and former flame are also seen together in a series of earlier shots, including an October 21 picture where they’re posing in front of the New York City skyline.

‘When you share your kids with your friends,’ October captioned the photo.

Sanchez responded with a heart emoji and said: ‘Love you.’

Alongside his own snaps, Bezos said he enjoyed a ‘crazy disco party’ with his family and told his followers the New Year is a time for ‘personal growth’.

He wrote: ‘We had so much fun last night celebrating with a crazy disco party with family, but the new year is also a great time to take stock and focus on personal growth, renewal, rebirth, and paying careful attention to each moment of your life. The good and the bad. All of it. Celebrate and grow.’

His girlfriend commented on the post and wrote: ‘I love you baby. For every reason and no reason.’

Bezos sported an orange patterned shirt along with a pair of cream chinos and sunglasses for the festivities.

Former TV host Sanchez looked incredible in a black crop top which she paired with matching leather trousers.

The couple have been making the most of their vacation with hikes, yacht outings, and plenty of romantic canoodling.

The group chartered the luxury super-yacht Tender To for their trip. Measuring 88 feet 7 inches, the vessel from the iconic Italian brand Leopard Yachts was built in 2005 and can sleep up to seven people in a master suite, two double cabins, and two twin cabins.

The cost to charter it is $38,000 to $42,000 per week, plus expenses.

Bezos and Sanchez have vacationed together on St. Barts before. In 2019, they were also joined by Sanchez’s son Nikko.

The Amazon founder, who is estimated to be worth $210 billion, is the second richest man in the world after Tesla owner Elon Musk, who recently knocked him off the top spot with a fortune of $276.2 billion compared to Bezos’ $203.9 billion, according to Forbes.

Bezos first became a billionaire in 1998, the year after Amazon went public as an online bookseller, and has since increased his fortune by 12,425 per cent — now raking in more than $140,000 per minute.

Nearly 90 per cent of his wealth is tied up in his 10 per cent stake in Amazon — with each share currently worth $3,540.70 — with the rest of his money invested into other avenues such as Blue Origin and property.

He has made several highly-publicized donations since stepping down as CEO of Amazon in July, including to the Obama Foundation and Baby2Baby.

Just prior to Thanksgiving, he donated $100 million to the Obama Foundation, the largest ever to the charity. The Obama Foundation gift represents less than 0.1 percent Bezos’ estimated $210 billion fortune.

As part of the gift, Bezos asked that the plaza at the Obama Presidential Center be renamed John Lewis Plaza, after the late congressman and civil rights leader who spent decades fighting for voting rights.

Earlier in November, he pledged almost $100 million to groups working to end homelessness.

In September, standing alongside climate envoy John Kerry, Bezos pledged $1 billion from his coffers to fight climate change through the Bezos Earth Fund foundation.

Sanchez promoted her boyfriend’s environmental efforts on Instagram on December 30, writing: ‘Looking ahead to the new year, Jeff and I couldn’t be more excited and humbled to focus on our passion and commitment to climate change by helping to protect and restore nature, alongside our team @BezosEarthFund.’
