The Apprentice stars are living in a £17million, eight-bedroom mansion where they have use of nine bathrooms, a swimming pool, gym, and cinema.

Candidates competing for Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment this year have the luxury of staying at Huxley House on London‘s Bishops Avenue – also known as Billionaire’s Row.

With features including an extensive spa, sauna, Jacuzzi, as well as an entertainment suite complete with cinema, bar, and games room, the business hopefuls have plenty of ways to relax following tense meetings in the boardroom.

The new series of The Apprentice kicked off on Thursday night after being rested for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Lord Sugar challenged the entrepreneurs to create a successful advertising and marketing campaign for a new cruise line, with the girls winning the first task, and being treated to a champagne reception at their new abode.

Product manager Kathryn Louise Burn, 29, was relieved the female team came out on top after also failing to impress experts with her idea ‘Bouji Cruises.’

After walking into Huxley House, contestant Amy Anzel, 48, gasped: ‘Oh my God, there’s a pool, holy moly, it’s massive’ while the rest of the girls wasted no time in dipping their feet into the Jacuzzi.

The boys, who lost the first challenge after creating a logo for their cruise line that viewers said resembled a ‘turd,’ arrived at the eight-bedroom house afterwards – with fired contestant Harry Mahmood, 35, missing out on the chance to stay at the glamorous property.

Huxley House, which also featured on Channel 4’s Britain’s Most Expensive Homes, this week, spans over four floors, all accessed by an internal lift.

The property, inspired architecturally by mansions of the 18th and 19th Centuries, has five reception rooms and seven en-suite bathrooms.

All fifteen remaining candidates stay living together at the million-pound home, which has often resulted in previous stars of the BBC One series having secret affairs despite Lord Sugar banning sexual relationships.

James White, who won The Apprentice in 2017, had a fling with co-star Jade English, while former contestants Michaela Wain and Harrison Jones from the same series now share a baby together.

The house appears to have been given a colourful makeover for filming of the show, which runs for 12-weeks and will see the winner go into partnership with Lord Sugar.

During their stay at the property, candidates are forbidden from having mobile phones, watching TV shows, and having access to the outside world.

The business professionals, who this year include the likes of dessert parlour owner Harpreet Kaur, 30, cleaning company boss Alex Short, 27, and finance manager Nick Showering, 31, are only given the chance to call family or friends once a week throughout filming of the series.

Pharmacist Navid Sole, who’s a self-proclaimed Nicki Minaj super fan, boutique cocktail bar owner Sophie Wilding, 32, and mother-of-five Shama Amin, 41, are all part of this year’s lineup hoping to impress Lord Sugar and his business aids.

Karren Brady sits alongside Lord Sugar while Tim Campbell, the first winner of The Apprentice in 2005, has joined the panel this year in replacement of Claude Littner.

While filming The Apprentice can be stressful for candidates, who are often woken up by Lord Sugar during the early hours of the morning and given no longer than 20-minutes to get ready, residing at Huxley House gives them the perfect opportunity to wind down when the cameras aren’t rolling.

Following years of challenging candidates with various tasks, Lord Sugar joked that his final request will be for contestants to plan his funeral – before assuring viewers the show will live on past his reign.

He told MailOnline this week: ‘First of all I have publicly stated that I really want to make it 20 years and this one is 16 so I have four more to do to achieve that goal.

‘I have already worked on the final task will be to arrange my funeral and to see how well candidates arrange it and what kind of coffin they will get from me.

‘No, I am going nowhere and the program is going nowhere, please enjoy this current series, which I am sure you will but I can assure you there’s going to be a lot more while I’ve got health and strength in my body I will carry it on.’
