EastEnders spoilers LIVE: Linda Carter’s fate revealed after car crash; plus Coronation Street & Emmerdale news

EASTENDERS HAS revealed Linda Carter’s fate as she emerges from her coma next week.

Scarlett (Tabitha Byron) informs Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) about the cut her mum had on her head, forcing Janine to lie about it.

Janine then faces a new threat when she learns Scarlett is on to her and has even told Sonia about one of Janine’s lies. It is not long before Scarlett learns she was involved in the car crash.

Despite Janine’s pleas, Scarlett later heads off to The Vic to reveal everything.

On Thursday’s episode, Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) and the rest of her family – including daughter Nancy Carter (Maddy Hill) received some devastating news as the doctor updated them on her health.

Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) was actually responsible for the crash but she blamed Linda for what happened.

A doctor came into see the family and admitted the injury had been worse than they thought.

This could mean one of the soaps longest running characters would be permanently affected by memory loss.

The doctor said: “Linda is stable. However, the trauma to the brain is worse than we thought. There’s no way of knowing what state she’ll be in until she comes around. She might not remember the crash, or the hours, days, months even leading up to it”.

“I don’t mean to alarm you – but you need to prepare yourself, she may no longer be the Linda you know. There isn’t anything I can tell you at the moment, I’m sorry, but I’ll keep you informed. You may be better off waiting for news at home.”

Nancy was horrified by the news and she broke down in tears.

Now fans of the BBC One soap are predicting that Janine will get away with her lies.

“Omg Linda might have amnesia and Janine is gonna get away with it all!! # EastEnders,” one fan wrote.

A second added: “damn I wonder if Linda will have memory loss then #Eastenders.”

A third penned: “Janine is celebrating internally at Linda’s potential memory loss #EastEnders,” with a fourth writing: “Linda better wake up from her coma & not have memory loss! #eastenders.”

    She was terrified of losing her daughter as she had no medical help, but Felix did an amazing job supporting her.

    Nancy told Felix a day didn’t go by that she didn’t think of her babies she had lost.

    Emmerdale fans believe Andrea Tate has a brother secretly residing in the village.

    Viewers know that Mike said there was a mystery man who was the son of Hazel’s ex-partner meaning he has a link to Andrea.

    But he has not been revealed to viewers yet. However, Express.co.uk reports that many fans reckon he is drug dealer Jason, who has made brief appearances in the village.

    Twitter user @Sofaneilas tweeted: “Ooooo So Andrea had a brother? Watch it be Marcus, Jordan or that Drug guy who’s dueling Leyla hahaha #emmerdale.”

    Elsewhere, @ASuperGav posted: “I see Andrea’s twin has been recruited again #Emmerdale.”

    SHARON Watts is on to Janine Butcher, especially after Linda Carter’s life was left in danger.

    But during a tense exchange last night, EastEnders viewers were shocked when she viciously insulted the villain.

    But while the Walford royalty fought her pal’s corner, the surprise insult made fans’ jaws drop, prompting them to swarm over to social media.

    “I’ve noticed they’ve been using the word b***h more often lately in EastEnders”, one of them wrote.

    A second quipped: “People on phone to Ofcom because Sharon called Janine a b***h at 7:37pm” as another chimed in alongside laughing face emojis: “Sharon calling Janine a b***h.”

    “There’s the word b***h again”, penned another.

  • Emmerdale viewers seriously concerned for Marlon

    Marlon Dingle (portrayed by Mark Charnock) has spent recent weeks fully committed to recovering from his stroke.

    Last night’s trip to the ITV Dales showed him learning how to walk back on his own two feet as his speech has been slowly improving.

    Emmerdale viewers were watching closely enough to deem the long-running drama’s depiction of stroke recovery too far from reality.

    Throughout the episode, fans stormed over to Twitter to put the program on blast.

    One of them wrote: “Marlon’s physio was going too far in my opinion. He was a bit unfair” just as a second viewer agreed: “Marlon can’t talk properly but he can sit up OK and use his arms and hand plus ask to go to the toilet [cry laughing emoji] do you research better Emmerdale.”

    A third viewer complained, alongside a cry laughing emoji: “Marlon already nearly back to normal Marlon lol if only REAL stroke victims had such a quick recovery PATHETIC.”

    Another noted: “Angry Marlon didn’t even stutter. That’s him on the mend.”

  • A look back at Danny’s pop at Schofe

    Presenter Phillip Schofield clashed with Danny Dyer two years running and admitted the EastEnders hardman was “scaring the life out of him”.

    In 2018, in what may have been a planned stunt, Danny got irritated at the host repeatedly asking if he was “alright”.

    He eventually stood and squared up to Schofe, barking: “What, you want to make one with me?”

    Phil joked: “Leave it you, back off. Sit down I’m in charge here mate.”

    The following year Danny sat stoney-faced as Phillip made a gag about him being a fan of “trim down South” – in reference to Corrie’s Trim Up North barber shop.

    The actor failed to respond and turned to the person sitting next to him, ignoring Phil, who laughed awkwardly.

    Jacqueline Jossa found herself at the centre of a row over a self-harm storyline after eagle-eyed fans took to lip-reading her conversation with Lacey Turner at the 2018 British Soap Awards.

    When Hollyoaks landed the Best Storyline gong, viewers thought she said: “I think they all self-harm on that show.”

    The horrified EastEnders star was forced to clear things up on Instagram, posting: “Just to clear things up, Lacey asked me what the storyline was, as we couldn’t hear. I answered with, ‘I’m not actually sure, I think they all self-harmed on the show’.”

    She added: “I haven’t watched the show recently so don’t actually know, but always love it and wasn’t discrediting.

    “I know that self-harm isn’t a joke, obviously, and love any soap that tackles hard stories. It’s been taken out of context!”

    Soap stars Asan N’Jie and Jamie Lomas got into a scuffle backstage at the TV Choice Awards in 2019.

    Hollyoaks’ hardman Jamie, 47, was taunted by Emmerdale’s Asan, 28, who aimed a “sarcastic jibe at him”.

    After Jamie reacted in fury and went for his soap rival, fellow cast members had to pull them apart.

    Asan was allegedly heard threatening to knife Jamie, and a clip of the bust up shows him scream: “Do you think you are a f*****g big man? I’m going to f*****g kill you.”

    The Emmerdale star was thrown out by security and later sacked from his role as Ellis in the Yorkshire soap.

    A CORONATION Street favourite has shared a fresh-faced throwback snap dating back to her childhood.

    The star, who The Sun revealed has penned a fresh contract with the ITV soap, flashed a cheeky pout as she posed with a pal.

    Actress Ellie Leach, now 21, shared the cute image to her Instagram page, which showed her sporting a sparkling diamante top and matching earrings.

    Her brunette hair was scraped back to her head and tied up in a high style, leaving her natural features to shine through.

    Ellie was posing with a pal and she used the snap to celebrate her mate’s birthday.

    In the caption, she gushed: “Here’s a little throwback for you.

    “Hope you have the best day ever.”

    The British Soap Awards honour the nation’s biggest and most-loved soap operas.

    Hosted by Phillip Schofield, the live awards will be presented by an array of well-known faces from across the TV and showbiz world.

    The awards will take place in London at The Hackney Empire.

    ITV has confirmed a two-hour slot for the ceremony which is due to take place on June 11, at 8pm.
