Cher Lloyd is pregnant! X Factor star expecting second child

Cher Lloyd has announced that she is pregnant with her second child with her husband Craig Monk.

The former X Factor star, 29, who finished in fourth place on the talent show in 2010, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share her jovial news.

She posted an adorable video showing her ultrasound scan, which lay beside a knitted white infant co-ord set and a grey hat, as she shared her baby news.

The clip started off with her hands covering the screen before she moved them away to reveal the ultrasound lying beneath.

Alongside the sweet video, she penned: ‘Baby number 2, we can’t wait to meet you.’

Cher and her hairdresser husband Craig already share a daughter Delilah-Rae, four, who they welcomed back in May 2018.

She revealed that she had welcomed her first child in an Instagram post on May 28, 2018, sharing a sweet snap of her newborn daughter dressed in pink.

The singer announced on Instagram: ‘Our baby girl is here! We are so in love….Delilah-Rae 25.05.18.’

The star also shared another black-and-white shot of their tiny daughter posing with her parents’ wedding rings on her toes.

In January 2018, Cher announced her first pregnancy, speaking about her excitement about becoming a parent with her husband Craig.

Posting a photo of her bump on Instagram, Cher told fans she had taken ‘some time away from the public eye to focus on what really matters and get back to what I truly love doing’.

She shared: ‘I’m so happy to announce that I now have a collection of amazing new songs (that I cannot wait to share with you all!), but also, there’s another reason why I’m writing to you today and that’s because I am beyond thrilled to inform you all that my husband Craig and I are also expecting our first child in May!!!’

Cher and her husband Craig surprised fans when they tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in November 2013 – as they prepare to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary this year.

In January 2023, Cher gave a rare insight into her private family life with her daughter Delilah-Rae and her husband.

She posted a slew of snaps to celebrate the new year and revealed that her last year has been ‘full of big changes’.

Writing to her 2.6million followers on Instagram on 31 December, Cher said beside the loving pictures: ‘Thank you 2022! This year was full of big changes.

‘From moving house to Delilah starting school – So happy to be making memories and spending time with those I love .

‘Wishing you all the very best for 2023! Sending my love.’

In one of the pictures, Cher hugged her daughter Delilah, four, in the sunshine as they enjoyed a family day out together.

Cher looks worlds away from her time on The X Factor, where she was known for her voluminous hairstyles and dramatic eye make-up.

The then 16-year-old first impressed X Factor bosses with her rendition of Soulja Boy’s Turn My Swag On, and after cruising through the auditions, she was soon mentored with Cheryl, 39.

Despite a glittering start in the competition, things went downhill for Cher when her alleged behind-the-scenes tantrums caused her to be labelled as Britain’s most ‘hated teen’, with judge Louis Walsh even branding her ‘too big for her boots’.

Cher ended coming in fourth place on the show, and following her stint on X Factor, she released her first single Swagger Jagger, followed by her debut album Sticks and Stones.

After becoming one of the most promising stars in the industry, it was announced in 2013 that Cher had parted ways with Syco Records due to creative differences with boss Simon Cowell.

In the same year, she secretly married Craig after less than a year of dating and they soon headed to the USA to start a new life. They made their way back to the UK a few years later and in May 2018 they welcomed a daughter.

Looking back on her ‘diva’ persona during her time on the show, Cher told Fabulous magazine back in 2012: ‘I was a beast! Everyone hated me.

‘I was young and foolish. Part of me was trying to show I was strong enough to do it, and then I think it all got too much for me.

‘I was angry with the way I was being edited and because of that I turned into this horrible person, with a terrible attitude.’

Meanwhile, the star recently revealed she ‘felt really vulnerable’ on the X Factor as she would be chased by a ‘group of 20 to 25 men with cameras’ after rehearsals.

The former contestant – who shot to fame on the 2010 series – opened up about the ‘extremely challenging’ time.

Despite her tumultuous time on the ITV show, Cher is still singing, with the star’s single with Kazakh music producer Imanbek, Baddest, released in May last year.
