Britney Spears RETURNS to Instagram two days after deactivating it but does not explain why she left

Britney Spears has returned to Instagram after a two day hiatus of her own volition but did not explain why she left in the first place.

The 40-year-old pop megastar posted several selfies to her account on Friday, just two days after deactivating it entirely.

In the photos, she wore a white crop top with sheer puffy sleeves that showed off her strong arms and accentuated her toned tummy and belly button ring.

She added a black miniskirt and a pair of brown high heels to her scant ensemble.

The star’s blonde hair fell down to her chest and was combed up and over to the right.

Spears’ post on the account may have come as a bit of a shock to her followers as she offered no explanation why she had deactivated it in the first place.

A source told UsWeekly that Britney ‘chose to disable her own Instagram,’ just one day after expressing to her 40 million followers that she wants to be ‘feared’ not ‘loved.’

Instagram officials told TMZ that they did not remove it, further supporting reports that it was Britney’s choice.

Curiously, Britney did not delete her Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube or SoundCloud accounts.

Before deactivating the account, the Toxic singer posted about returning to Vegas for the first time since the 2019 cancelation of her residency.

‘The only thing I’ve known when I used to go to Vegas was a hour long meet and greets with 40 people every night getting the worst pics of me and then a two hour show!’ the former Mouseketeer wrote.

‘Let’s just say this time visiting it gave me a whole new perspective on what it means to live! Being able to go to the spa was a highlight as well and you know what? Don’t ever pity me like my masseuse does.

‘”People do love you!” Huh? Huh? I don’t want to be loved. I want to be feared! Being loved and being nice got me taken advantage of so take [your] pity and go f*** yourselves!’

And on Sunday, Spears lamented over how her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James ‘don’t need me anymore’ and ban her from ‘showing recent pics of us’ but she ‘respects their wishes.’

In August 2018, the Mississippi-born beauty was downgraded from 50-50 to 30-70 custody of 16-year-old Sean and 15-year-old Jayden from her two-year marriage to former back-up dancer Kevin Federline, which ended in 2007.

Last month, Page Six reported that Britney signed a $15M deal with Simon & Schuster to publish her tell-all memoir.

Spears’ 13-year conservatorship officially ended on November 12 and she got engaged to her boyfriend Sam Asghari on November 13.

The Matches singer might be ‘free’ but her legal battle against her father Jamie is far from over as her lawyer Mathew Rosengart alleged he and his team gradually took $36M from her $60M estate.

The former federal prosecutor has been arranging for depositions to take place this month with his famous client as well as the 69-year-old former building contractor.
