Britney Spears conservatorship news – Lady Gaga congratulates ‘superstar’ after huge legal win

FANS and other celebrities are rallying around Britney Spears following her release from the controversial conservatorship that exercised vast control over her life and money for nearly 14 years.

On Twitter, Lady Gaga congratulated Britney, writing “I couldn’t be more happy for you today.”

“I have loved Britney Spears her whole career,” Lady Gaga wrote.

“I looked up to her, admired her strength—she empowered so many people and still does.

“You never deserved what happened, Thank God 4 today,” Gaga wrote.

She finished the tweet off with many heart emoji, and added “you’re a superstar and a super-human being.”

In videos posted to Twitter and Instagram, fans cried ‘tears of joy’ and sang along to the pop star’s greatest hits.

Britney’s fans fired confetti cannons outside the courthouse and surrounding streets upon learning the news.

The star thanked her supporters on social media: “Good God I love my fans so much it’s crazy,” she said. “I think I’m gonna cry the rest of the day !!!! Best day ever … praise the Lord … can I get an Amen”

Both Britney and her estate are relieved of the conservatorship, as Judge Brenda Penny ruled in favor of the pop star.
