Following the news that Britney is finally free of her conservatorship, twitter users have taken aim at her sister, Jamie Lynn.

Britney’s family has been under fire for allegedly taking advantage of her vast fortune when her father had control of her conservatorship.

However, it was reported by US Magazine that Jamie Lynn was the only member of Britney’s immediate family who was not on the singer’s payroll.

The US Sun exclusively revealed in July that Britney bought Jamie Lynn’s $1million condo in Florida, despite Jamie claiming that she never took her sister’s money.

Sam Asghari is engaged to Britney Spears.

Shortly after the news broke that a judge ruled to end Britney’s conservatorship, Netflix issued a tweet in support of the pop star.

FORMER CONSERVATOR ‘IS HAPPY’ TO ASSIST BRITNEY

The pop star’s former conservator, Jodi Montgomery, issued a statement to PEOPLE, expressing her satisfaction with the judge’s ruling, and willingness to continue to help Britney transition into her new life.

“Throughout the conservatorship, Ms. Montgomery has been a tireless advocate for Ms. Spears and it has always been her goal to give Ms. Spears a path towards the termination of her conservatorship,” Montgomery’s rep told the outlet.

“Ms. Montgomery is happy to continue working for Ms. Spears and assisting Ms. Spears in her freedom, independence, growth, wellness, and happiness outside of the conservatorship.”

A member of Britney’s legal team told The Sun ahead of the hearing on Friday: “Britney and Mathew fully believe that if all goes according to plan, she will be a free woman by the end of the day.

“She has been emotional all week and was crying last night both happy tears and tears of joy. I think she doesn’t fully believe it’s coming to an end yet after so many years of pushing and fighting.

They added, “She keeps saying “I can’t believe it’s really happening” and I don’t think it will sink in until after the hearing.”

WHAT HAPPENED AT FRIDAY’S HEARING?

On Friday, Judge Penny ruled that Britney’s conservatorship be terminated, giving the hitmaker control of her life for the first time since before 2008.

In September, Britney’s case returned to a Los Angeles courtroom where Judge Penny made a number of bombshell rulings, following her father Jamie’s decision to step down from the conservatorship the month prior.

She ruled to suspend Jamie from the conservatorship, however, it did not mean the end of the conservatorship altogether.

Britney’s attorney also expressed gratitude to her fans who have showed support over the last thirteen years.

Shortly after Britney’s conservatorship was terminated on Friday, her lawyer Mathew Rosengart exclusively told The Sun: “If Britney wants, we will absolutely continue pursuing active investigations into certain claims against Mr. Spears.

“It’s telling he still will not back down. I look forward to Mr. Spears’ deposition and pursuing that further.”

Cara Cunningham, an internet personality who first found the national spotlight for the 2007 “Leave Britney Alone” viral video, posted a video on Instagram, celebrating the end of Britney’s conservatorship.

Earlier in the day, she also shared a pro-Britney snap ahead of the hearing.

WHY DID JAMIE WANT A TERMINATION INSTEAD OF A SUSPENSION?

According to Rosengart, a termination would afford Jamie Spears protection from legal actions against him, including retribution for recording and monitoring Britney in conversations with her children, family and even attorney for several years.

“Jamie wants a termination instead of a suspension and orderly termination because it means he won’t have to turn over records as a fiduciary of the estate,” summarized Twitter user @BritneyLawArmy, who was allegedly in the courtroom for both hearings in September and November.

“Britney has the ability to make her own decisions,” her attorney Matthew Rosengart said to Judge Brenda Penny.
