 Nigeria Squad Announcement : Rohr Names Seven Uncapped Players; Iwobi, Ndidi, Iheanacho, Aina All InThe Nigeria Football Federation have announced a 25-player roster for the Super Eagles international friendlies against Ivory Coast and Tunisia in Austria next month, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.An analysis of the roster revealed that three goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders and nine strikers have been summoned for the friendlies by manager Gernot Rohr.

Seven uncapped players namely Mathew Yakubu, Zaidi Sanusi, Frank Onyeka, Cyriel Dessers, Chidera Ejuke, Samson Tijani and Dele Alampasu, who came off the bench in a friendly against Togo which was not sanctioned by FIFA as more than six substitutes were fielded, are part of the group.

French-based duo Henry Onyekuru and Josh Maja, new AC Omonia signing Abdullahi Shehu, Granada’s Ramon Azeez and Benfica loanee Tyronne Ebuehi have been placed on standby.

Rangers defender Leon Balogun, Leicester’s Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi, Fulham’s Ola Aina and Everton’s Alex Iwobi are part of the selection.

The 2013 African champions face the Elephants on October 9 before meeting with the Aigles de Carthage four days later.
