Home Alone actor Devin Ratray arrested on domestic violence charges following alleged attack on GF
More disturbing accusations are being revealed about the alleged domestic violence incident involving Home Alone actor Devin Ratray and his now ex-girlfriend in Oklahoma.
The former child star, who played Buzz McCallister, older brother of Macaulay Culkin’s character Kevin in the original 1990 film and the first sequel that followed two years later, was arrested and charged on Wednesday.
Ratray, now 44, turned himself in to authorities in Oklahoma City after a warrant was issued for his arrest in the wake of the victim filing a police report on December 10, according to TMZ.

Ratray is charged with domestic assault and battery by strangulation, a felony, as well as misdemeanor domestic assault and battery.
The New York City native has since been released on $25,000 bond, which came about 15 minutes after he posed for a mug shot.
It turns out Ratray was in Oklahoma in early December for OKC Pop Christmas Con, a two-day event where the actor was among the main attractions.

The unnamed girlfriend maintains Ratray pushed her, punched her in the face and pressed his hands against her throat and mouth when they returned to their hotel room after a night out that involved drinking.
She would file a police report the very next day in Oklahoma City.
‘[The] victim had trouble breathing while she was being strangled and while the defendant’s hand was over her mouth,’ Detective Joseph Burnett of the Oklahoma City Police Department wrote in his report, according to Deadline.

According to a probable cause affidavit, obtained by TMZ, the woman claimed Ratray was very drunk, and that he told her, ‘This is how you die,’ during the alleged attack.
Eventually, the woman escaped into a stairwell and waited for police to arrive at the scene, which was a Hyatt hotel in downtown Oklahoma City.
Officers reported that the alleged victim appeared to have multiple injuries, including bruises and marks on her face.
Ratray’s representative had previously denied anything physical happened between the two, admitting that they had only gotten into a bad verbal argument and broke up afterwards.

Ratray got his start as an actor as a nine-year-old in the movie Where Are the Children? (1986).
He would star in four more films and and two television roles, including Heartland, before he had his big movie breakthrough in Home Alone, when he was 13-years-old.
His character Buzz was the older brother to Kevin, who eventually is forced to protect his house from a pair of burglars after he was accidentally left home alone by his family during their Christmas vacation.

The movie went on to become a bonafide smash hit in 1990, earning a staggering $476.7 million at the worldwide box office on just a $18 million budget.
Along with Ratray and Culkin, the film also stars Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, John Heard, Catherine O’Hara, Angela Goethals, and John Candy, among others.
Ratray reprised his role for the first sequel, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992), which like the original, was directed by Chris Columbus and written by John Hughes.
Over the year, he has had a consistent career as an actor since his breakthrough with Home Alone, with guest spots in TV like Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Good Wife, Blue Bloods, Mosaic, The Tick, Chicago Med, and a film role alongside Jennifer Lopez in Hustlers (2019).
