Comic Derrion Childs had over 16,000 followers on Instagram.

A woman, who claims to be a friend of the comic, wrote on Facebook after his death: “Damn ts hurt like a mf , my dawg … damn mane damn I’m hurt … I’m speechless ts f***ed up🥺😪😩 Derrion Dmuney Childs rest in love and peace baby😭.”

DERRION CHILDS’ CHILLING ‘DEATH’ POST

Derrion Childs’ chilling post about death that he posted just one week before his passing has surfaced.

Cops confirmed Derrion “Dmuney” Childs, 21, died in Memphis, Tennessee on November 23 after they responded to a shooting.

He also joked about rapper Young Dolph’s tragic death, which happened earlier this month, before his own passing.

In a post just one day after Dolph passed, Childs said: “If the news don’t post me as a Memphis legend when I die then they HATEDDDDD,” he wrote, accompanied by a heart emoji.

HOW OLD WAS YOUNG DOLPH?

The rapper lived to be 36 years old.

He was gunned down last week, and died of his injuries.

‘NEVER CLOCKED OUT’

Dolph had openly admitted that he has been a target of violence since his teenage years.

“I’ve been targeted since I was 17, 18, 19,” he stated in an interview with The Guardian.

The rapper admitted that he did not grow up in the best surroundings, which caused him to turn to certain methods to make money.

When asked how, he responded: “Hustling – you’ve been seeing it for so long that you start to partake in it.”

“I clocked in when I was 12 and never clocked out”.

He further explained how his surroundings had an influence on him around that time.

WHAT DID YOUNG DOLPH SAY ABOUT HIS BEEF WITH YO GOTTI?

In 2017, Dolph sat down with the Breakfast Club to address his alleged ill-will towards Gotti.

“It ain’t no issue,” said Dolph when discussing the rumored rift. “It ain’t no beef. It ain’t no nothing. It’s just a whole lot of misunderstandings and some stuff I don’t respect.”

However, Dolph continued to refer to Gotti as “lame” throughout the interview.

He went on to recall his first time meeting Gotti, where Gotti used Collective Music Group’s Zed Zilla and Starlito to convince him to join CMG records.

“This my first time meeting you,” said Dolph. “And you going to really sit and downplay your artists and throw your artists under the bus to try to persuade me in to come over there?”

For example, Dolph named his debut album King of Memphis, a title that fellow Memphis rapper Yo Gotti had repeatedly referred to himself as.

On Feb. 11, 2016, Dolph alleged that Gotti wasn’t a fan of his growing success, taking to Twitter to post: “Bra went from bein my #1 fan and wanting to sign me to bein my BIGGEST HATER.”

In 2017, Gotti’s CMG artist Black Youngsta took to Instagram to record an expletive-filled video claiming that he was going to “smack the s***” out of Dolph.

Black Youngsta upped the ante by allegedly showing up in Young Dolph’s neighborhood in Memphis with several of his posse, who were heavily armed, reported XXL.

WHAT WAS YOUNG DOLPH’S ‘BEEF’ WITH YO GOTTI?

Young Dolph and Yo Gotti were said to have had beef with each other for a long while before the tension came to an end.

The pair allegedly exchanged subtle disses on tracks towards each other, as well as spoke about one another in interviews.

XXL Magazine announced Gotti will be releasing a new album following Dolph’s death.

The magazine tweeted the album cover for CM10 on November 24, 2021 with a screenshot of Gotti’s Instagram post.

The date for the album’s release has yet to be announced.

Gotti and Dolph were both raised in Memphis, Tennessee, and became competitors once Dolph rose up on the Southern hip hop scene.

It’s unclear why the two began feuding, but tensions continued to mount in subtle ways.

WHO KILLED YOUNG DOLPH?

A search is underway for the shooter who fatally struck the rapper.

On November 11, surveillance footage showed two suspects pointing automatic weapons after the rapper was killed.

The pair were seen wearing dark hoodies and grey sweatpants.

One appeared to be holding what looks to be a pistol and the other was holding a Drako AK-47.

Those with information on the shooting have been asked to call 901-528-CASH.

‘WAY BEFORE MY TIME’

Young Dolph, who goes by Paper Route Frank on Twitter, took to the social media platform to open up about his how his life was going just months before his tragic death.

Back in the beginning of August 2021, Dolph tweeted: “My next project will be my biggest.”

The tweet concluded with a flexing arm emoji and fire sign.

On August 16, the rapper’s tweet read: “still can’t believe i got to where im at in life. still feel unreal, s**t crazy.”

Approximately one month after that, at 1.35am on September 14, 2021, Dolph wrote: “I’m definitely waaay before my time.”

WHAT WAS YOUNG DOLPH’S NETWORTH?

At the time of his death, Dolph, 36, was estimated to be worth $3million according to Celebrity Net Worth.

‘I’LL DO THE SHOOTING’

“Man, stop playing I’ll put a $100 [000] ball on this n***** head. N**** ain’t ever play with me, last n**** that played with me I shot him. I don’t do the shoot get shot at, I’ll do the shooting at n*****,” Soulja added.

“I bet a $100,000 this n***** won’t give me an address how about that. Look, I got a $100k cash. Look, DM the address and you can have all this in my hand how about that.”

Before Soulja’s rant about Dolph, the 100 Shots rapper took to Instagram on November 10 to slam his foe, saying: “How da f*** I’m a independent artist and gettin 100rax plus for a show?”

DOLPH HAD ‘BEEF’ WITH SOULJA BOY

Young Dolph was killed a week after fellow rapper Soulja Boy said “he put $100,000 bounty on his head” and joked about his past shootings.

The rapper was reportedly in rap beef with Soulja Boy, who had been at odds on social media over money and their careers.

There is no suggestion that Soulja Boy is connected with Young Dolph’s death, and he has not been named as a suspect in the shooting.

A week before Dolph was gunned down, Soulja Boy was on Instagram Live speaking to his followers when a fan brought up Dolph’s name.

“Man, today was about me and Kanye, cause me and Kanye just made amends you feel me. How the f*** we end up talking about Dolph’s lame a** , God damn, clout chasing h** a**,” the Pretty Boy Swag rapper said.

HOW MANY RAPPERS HAVE DIED THIS YEAR?

So far in 2021, eight rappers have died.

Those rappers include Baby Ceo, Prince Markie Dee, DMX, Black Rob, Biz Markie, Gonzoe and Yung Kece.

The most recent loss was Young Dolph, who was fatally shot on November 17, 2021.

YOUNG DOLPH’S MUSIC

In 2009 Dolph was just making his mark in the music world with his debut mixtape Paper Route Campaign.

In 2021 he released his debut full-length album Welcome 2 Dolph World under his very own record label Paper Route Empire. The debut album had a total of 20 songs on it.

Dolph had come to release a total of 26 albums on Apple Music, with his most recent album PAPER ROUTE iLLUMINATi being released on July 30, 2021.

Apple Music lists Major (feat. Key Glock) as his top song on the streaming platform.

The rapping cousins had worked on a number of albums together including Dum and Dummer (2019) as well as a follow up Dum and Dummer 2 (2021).

After hearing the news of his death, Megan tweeted: “I am sooo sick rn I am in disbelief! Praying for his family and friends ! Rest In Peace to my friend a true legend dolph.”

On Instagram she shared a tribute to the star, posting a portrait of him and writing: “Everybody that know me knows I play this man music EVERY DAY ! He was so genuine so real so kind to me and [my manager T. Farris] always !!! Rest In Peace to a real legend 💙.”

MIA JAYE: ‘PRAYERS ARE WELCOME’

Mia Jaye added, “Thank you to everyone for all of your prayers, love, support, messages… I may not see them all but when my eyes are not full of tears I catch a few…”

“Nonetheless, all the genuine positive, vibes, energy, and prayers are welcome… Because Lord knows I need them.”

As of Friday morning, no arrests had been made in connection with the shooting.

YOUNG DOLPH’S BABY MAMA’S COMMENTS ON HIS DEATH

Two days after Dolph‘s passing, his baby mama Mia Jaye broke her silence and shared a heartbreaking video in the wake of the rapper’s slaying.

“Question is… How am I ever going to tell my babies that daddy is never coming home?” Jaye wrote on her Instagram Story over a video of Dolph playing with their daughter, Ari.

“God give me strength… Adolph I love you with all my heart and soul,” Jaye continued on the next Story slide.

HOW DID DERRION ‘DMUNEY’ CHILDS DIE?

The Memphis Police Department announced on Twitter they responded to a shooting in November 2021.

“Officers located three victims nearby on Vayu Dr. Male #1 was xported critical but did not survive his injury,” the department said.

“Female #1 was listed as non-critical. Male #2 was uninjured,” the tweet concluded asking citizens to call with any information on the incident.

On Friday, November 26, police confirmed the deceased male was identified as Derrion Childs, 21.

He reportedly died on November 23.

After Derrion Childs made jokes about Young Dolph’s death, people started to flood Childs’ social media accounts with comments related to Young Dolph.

One user commented: “Respect the dead lesson learned now r.I.p. dolph.”

Another added: “Dissing the dead is negative energy, he should of left DOLPH alone #smdh.”

WHAT DID DERRION CHILDS SAY ABOUT YOUNG DOLPH?

Derrion Childs made jokes about Young Dolph‘s murder.

Childs, 21, dissed the late rapper in a Facebook post, writing:

“MANE CUHH IF YEEN FROM MEMPHIS OR IF YEEN THE POLICE JUST QUIT TRYNA SOLVE YOUNG DOLPH MURDER THESE FOLKS DONE CAME & LOCKED MY GMA UP.”

He also reacted to the news of Dolph’s death, posting: “I love Memphis cuh we so gangsta.”

‘THEIR HERO IS GONE’

Kids who looked up to Young Dolph have been crying, the community is still in shock and his loss is similar to losing Muhammad Ali, residents and community leaders told The Sun in exclusive interviews.

“Ours kids are literally in tears. Their hero is gone,” Jonathan Torres, the CEO of a nonprofit Memphis Athletic Ministries, said.

Memphis Athletic Ministries worked with Young Dolph to hand out turkeys to families “who otherwise wouldn’t have a holiday,” Torres said.

SHOCKING FOOTAGE, CONTINUED

“Oh my God ya’ll, they say Dolph dead. They say Dolph dead,” the person behind the camera is heard saying as the video zooms in slightly to show the arm.

“I was just standing out here just seeing this s**t.”

Moments later, police are seen urging onlookers to back up.

The camera then zooms in on where the arm was seen hanging out the window, only to show authorities had moved it.

“I [have] never seen no s**t like this. Oh my God. … They said that’s Dolph,” the person talking says before the video clip concludes.

SHOCKING FOOTAGE

Footage exclusively obtained by The Sun appears to show Dolph’s arm hanging out one of the store’s broken windows after the shooting that resulted in his death.

The source, who wishes to remain anonymous and first shared the 44-second footage on Twitter, said the video was taken just moments before the rapper’s body was removed from the scene.

The video, which was initially recorded through Facebook Live, had amassed more than 60,000 views on Twitter.

YOUNG DOLPH HAD PROMOTED THE STORE WHERE HE WAS GUNNED DOWN

Six days before his death, Dolph appeared in a video on Makeda Cookie’s Instagram page showing him outside of the store, urging his fans to visit and insisting “every time he comes home he has to stop by.”

“All I came for was to get some Makeda,” he’s heard saying in the short clip, before pointing up to the store’s sign.

“These right here,” he said, gesturing down to a handful of cookies in his hand. “Straight out the oven.”

“Just for you,” the woman behind the camera responds. “Appreciate you, be safe.”
