2020 MTV VMA Nominations: Full List – WWD

MTV revealed the nominees for its 2020 Video Music Awards on Thursday, with Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande grabbing the most nominations with nine in total thanks in large part to their collaboration, “Rain on Me.”

The 2020 VMAs will take place on Aug. 30 and will be hosted at New York City’s Barclays Center. The awards show will feature multiple performances filmed at several iconic locations across the city’s five boroughs.

Starting today, fans can cast their votes for each category through MTV’s web site until Aug. 23. This year’s nominations include two new categories introduced because of the coronavirus pandemic: “Best Music Video From Home” and “Best Quarantine Performance.”
