Tom Sandoval hyperventilates as the gravity of his affair with Raquel Leviss sets in

Tom Sandoval began hyperventilating as the gravity of his months-long affair with Raquel Leviss set in during a one-on-one with Lisa Vanderpump.

In a teaser for the season 10 finale obtained by PEOPLE, Sandoval recalled his final conversation with ‘angry’ ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix, 37, and insisted that he never intended to hurt her.

The Vanderpump Rules star, 39, also claimed that he and Leviss, 28, had every intention of confessing to Madix ahead of the reunion but never got the chance.

Vanderpump, 62, was in pure shock over the betrayal, telling Sandoval: ‘I’ve heard so much [about the affair] to be honest and I don’t understand a lot of it.’

She couldn’t wrap her head around the fact that he had not only cheated on Madix, but did so with one of her closest pals.

‘I never meant to hurt her. Ariana already has a hard time with trusting people,’ Tom explained.

Lisa fired back: ‘Well, what is she gonna have now? I mean this is not a trusting place when you’re sleeping with one of her best friends.’

Sandoval, clearly agitated, took a deep breath and reluctantly acknowledged his own hypocrisy.

‘Me and Raquel had every intention of telling Ariana before the reunion,’ he insisted to Vanderpump.

‘There is no way we could feel like a human being — either one of us — to have Ariana defending Raquel and me.’

The teaser calls back to a scene in season 10 where Madix actively shutdown affair rumors in September 2022 and insisted she ‘trusts’ her then-boyfriend.

She also gushed over Leviss, calling her one of her ‘closest friends.’

Referencing the scene, Vanderpump said that the moment ‘looks terrible in retrospect’ since they ended up being true.

Sandoval told the restaurateur that he wishes he could ‘have a conversation’ with Madix ‘when she’s not so angry at me.

‘But I may never get that chance… which kills me,’ Sandoval continued.

The realization caused him to breakdown in tears.

A sympathetic looking Vanderpump urged him to ‘take a moment’ as he continued to sob with his face in his hands.

Hyperventilating, Sandoval quickly got up from his seat across from Vanderpump and repeatedly exclaimed ”Oh God, oh God!’

He pressed himself up against a window and continued his dramatic display.

‘You have to calm down,’ said Vanderpump before getting up to hug her co-star.

‘It’s gonna get better from here on in. It’s been all too much, I know,’ she assured him.

The season finale of Vanderpump Rules season 10 is airing Wednesday, May 17 and fans will learn more of the dirty details of Sandoval and Leviss’ affair.

Also in the trailer was the moment that Madix shocked pals Scheana Shay and Katie Maloney by revealing that Sandoval admitted to having sex with Leviss in his car.

At the time of the sexual encounter, Madix was in the midst of grieving the death of her dog Charlotte.

She also relived the moment she discovered an intimate recording of a FaceTime call between Sandoval and Levis saved on his cellphone.

‘That’s when I called Raquel and I started like, making her like, f***ing tell me what the f***? When did this start?” Ariana recalled.

‘She said, “Right after the girls trip.” I’m like, “You mean right after Charlotte died?”

It was revealed Wednesday that  contract negotiations for the cast of Vanderpump Rules have been paused amid the aftermath of Scandoval.

Executive producer Alex Baskin told Variety that he and fellow executives believe it would be best for the cast to take time away from the show after shooting the explosive reunion special.

‘I had thought that we needed cameras on them right away. And I now think we need a minute,’ he explained Wednesday.

Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss’ months-long affair was exposed in March, leading to the end of his nine-year relationship with fellow castmate Ariana Madix.

The first episode of the three-part reunion airs on May 24 and Baskin teased that ‘new information’ — unknown to fans and much of the cast — will be revealed.

Because of the bombshell ‘revelations,’ Baskin predicts that the cast will likely ‘need a little space’ from one another to process their emotions.

‘The reunion is not just a recap of what you know, and it’s not just an intense version of the emotions,’ the producer revealed.

‘I will put it this way: There are revelations, and they are revelations that not all of them know now. So we need a little space.’

Baskin also stated that he wants the cast members to view the entire reunion before deciding whether or not they wish to return to Vanderpump Rules.

Andy Cohen served as mediator during the reunion  — which reportedly resulted in screaming matches between the cast as well as an alleged brawl between Sandoval and Tom Schwartz.

In a teaser trailer for the hit Bravo series, Madix called out her now-ex, Sandoval, 39, and slammed Leviss for being ‘diabolical, demented, and subhuman’.

Leviss, 28, had admitted that having an affair her close friend’s boyfriend of nearly a decade was ‘super selfish’.

In response, Madix quickly clapped back and said: ‘Selfish does not cover it.’

For the rest of the trailer, Madix and the rest of the cast fired no shortage of insults at Sandoval and his mistress.

In the preview, Madix also called her ex and his on-again, off-again lover ‘f***ing rats’ and said they shouldn’t expect ‘anything good coming for them.’

In the episode, James Kennedy, 31 — who was previously engaged to Leviss — also called Sandoval a ‘backstabbing ho’ for sleeping with his ex-fiancée.

After an explosive back-and-forth, Kennedy then fired back at Sandoval and called him ‘a worm with a mustache’ — which fans quickly took to social media to make into memes.

The first part of the reunion will air Wednesday, May 24, then part two on Wednesday, May 31 and Wednesday, June 7.

After two months of backlash, it was reported that Sandoval and his much-younger mistress have called it quits.

An insider told Page Six: ‘Raquel dipped out. Sandoval is not the one for her.’
