Standing out at such a young age as a genuine option for a mega-rich club in Newcastle United is mightily impressive, especially as Eddie Howe’s side could invest in proven quality if they really needed to. That’s exactly what Lewis Miley has managed to do so far in his Newcastle United career, with the 18-year-old even earning himself plenty of plaudits during the Toon Army’s Champions League campaign. The homegrown wonder kid has been compared to a number of midfield greats already, but he does have room to grow before such comparisons can be taken seriously. So far, though, the technical midfielder clearly has the tools needed to be a top player in the future. This season, we could certainly see Miley become more of a mainstay in Eddie Howe’s side, although competition is fierce at the club.

Harvey Elliott could become a key man for Arne Slot’s new-look Liverpool

Harvey Elliott has been contributing towards Liverpool’s success for a season or two now, but it’s this campaign where he’s expected to become more than just a solution during an injury crisis. The super-sub could become even more of an influential figure at Liverpool in the near future, particularly as new manager Arne Slot looks to build on Jurgen Klopp’s successful period at the club and bring through the next crop of youngsters. Elliott’s experience at such a young age means that he’s a figure to rely on, although just where the Reds’ new Dutch manager sees him playing remains to be seen. Elliott can play a deeper midfield role, while also possessing the ability to be a creative force higher up the pitch in the Premier League. At times, due to his crossing ability, he has even featured out wide for Liverpool. Wherever he plays, though, Harvey Elliott could certainly become a key man for Slot’s new-look Liverpool.

Jarrad Branthwaite is one of the best young defenders in Europe

It remains to be seen just where Jarrad Branthwaite will be plying his trade next season, but wherever he ends up, the 19-year-old England center-back is expected to shine. The Everton youngster thrived for the Toffees last season and is likely to build on his solid showings this time around. The Carlisle academy graduate has everything required to be a future star, with his sheer size and comfort on the ball making him a standout talent in the league right now. Also known to read the game extremely well and having an excellent attitude to boot, Jarrad Branthwaite’s career is well worth keeping tabs on.
