When London nurse Leon (Anthony Welsh) finds himself needing to raise some extra cash, he gets a flatmate.
But there’s a twist: because he works nights, Leon cooks up an arrangement where he has the one-bedroom flat to himself between 8am and 8pm and his new roomie – recently dumped journo Tiffany (Jessica Brown Findlay) – gets it between 8pm and 8am.
And that’s not all – to make it work, Leon decides that he and Tiffany must never meet. Despite that, it isn’t long before the pair – who initially communicate only by Post-it notes – become drawn into each other’s lives and, you’ve guessed it, sparks fly.
Armed with a winning concept and luminous performances from both leads, this is a genuinely charming and heart-warming six-part romantic treat that’s perfect for cosy nights in. And you’ll never look at a post-it note in the same way again.

With epic adventures such as House Of The Dragon and Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power taking over our screens, what better time for fantasy classic Willow to make its long-awaited return?
A sequel to the original 1988 movie, this spectacular new series reunites us with diminutive but fearless wizard Willow (Warwick Davis), as he and a ragtag group of unlikely heroes set off on a dangerous quest to save the world.
Details of the series’ plot are a closely guarded secret but expect magic, adventure and some familiar returning faces.

The Patient

Steve Carell stars in this nerve-shredding 10-part thriller as a psychotherapist, Alan, who’s taken prisoner by one of his patients, Sam (Domhnall Gleeson).
It turns out that Sam is a serial killer and he wants Alan to devote himself to helping him curb his murderous urges. With captivity forcing Alan to delve deeply into his own repressed troubles, can he find a way to stop Sam – and save his own life in the process?
Intense, unpredictable and told in episodes that rarely run past a very bingeable 20 minutes, expect The Patient to get inside your head – and stay there.

Lady Chatterley’s Lover – Netflix

This latest adaptation of the notoriously racy novel – the most recent was in 2015, and who can forget the 1993 version starring Joely Richardson and Sean Bean? – stars Emma Corrin as frustrated upper class wife Constance who begins a torrid and scandalous affair with hunky gamekeeper Oliver Mellors (Jack O’Connell).
Racy, visually ravishing and featuring a neat cameo from none other than Joely Richardson, this is guaranteed to keep everyone warm during the cold winter months.

Three Pines – Amazon Prime

You’d be forgiven for suspecting that there’s a TV law – a bit like jury service – which says all actors must, at some point in their career, play a troubled detective.
Now Alfred Molina has had the call up, taking on the role of a Canadian cop, Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, a dedicated and sympathetic crime-solver from Quebec whose sense of justice often rubs his superiors up the wrong way.
When a self-centred woman from the seemingly idyllic village of Three Pines is electrocuted in suspicious circumstances, Gamache is sent to investigate.
But with so many locals with motives for wanting the victim dead, he has his work cut out.
Filmed in the atmospheric and snowy wilds of rural Quebec, and based on the novels by Louise Penny, this is enjoyable murder-mystery fare, with a twinkle in its eye.

Romesh Ranganathan: The Cynic – Netflix

There must be something in the water in the West Sussex town of Crawley. Not only is it the hometown of legendary glum rockers The Cure, it’s also the hometown of legendary glum comedian Romesh Ranganathan.
In this one-off stand-up show, Romesh returns to Crawley’s Hawth Theatre and treats his audience to an enjoyably grumpy routine about stuff that annoys him, including his children and people who don’t understand his veganism. It’s delightfully disdainful.

Slow Horses – Apple TV+

Based on the best-selling novels by Mick Herron, the series follows Lamb (Gary Oldman) as he oversees a dispirited group of agents – the so-called Slow Horses of the title – who’ve been exiled to Slough House, the shabby home of an MI5 department for anyone deemed not up to the job, or who’ve messed up badly.
These include River Cartwright (Jack Lowden), who’s packed off to Slough House at the beginning of the first series after bungling a training exercise, Sid Baker (Olivia Cooke), Min Harper (Dustin Demri-Burns), Louisa Guy (Rosalind Eleazar), tech wizard Roddy Ho (Christopher Chung) and Catherine Standish (Saskia Reeves), a recovering alcoholic who has the demoralising job of looking after Lamb’s admin.
Life looks bleak for the Slow Horses until they happen upon a chilling conspiracy involving far-right politicians and the kidnapping of a British-Pakistani student.
And before long, they have the chance to prove that they’re not the failures the rest of MI5 – in particular deputy Director General Diana Taverner (Kristin Scott Thomas) – believes them to be.
Atmospheric, surprising and boasting a joyously slobby performance from Gary Oldman, Slow Horses is a must for anyone who prefers their spy dramas a little more realistic.
