MEGHAN Markle was seen making visits to the estate of a beauty marketing firm executive in a hint she may be about to launch her own cosmetic line.

Meghan, 40, reportedly made visits to Guthy-Renker co-founder Bill Guthy’s home in Carpinteria, California, with husband Prince Harry, 37, and her mum Doria several times between February and March.

Harry and Meghan had also flown on a private jet owned by the cosmetics firm during a tour of New York City, the Daily Mail reported

There has since been speculation that Meghan could be about to launch her own cosmetics line – following in the footsteps of supermodel Cindy Crawford, Jennifer Lopez and Heidi Klum.

The Sussexes were seen driving from Mr Guthy’s estate with Meghan beside him and her mum Doria Ragland in the backseat on March 1.

A Troubled time

Set over the three days of Christmas in 1991 – from Christmas Eve to Boxing Day – the film is a gloomy, uncompromising take on how director Pablo Larraín sees Diana’s world as her marriage became totally broken down and unsalvageable.

In another cruel swipe at the Prince of Wales, on Christmas Day morning Diana joins the family for breakfast – asking her husband how she looks.
After simply replying “fine” he hisses: “There is one thing. The chickens laid the eggs. The fisherman caught the fish and the bees made the honey. They all made such an effort to bring you breakfast.

“Please do them the courtesy of not regurgitating it all into a lavatory bowl before the church bells even ring.”

But while often unfair and overly harsh criticism of Charles is nothing new – just ask the writers of Netflix’s The Crown – Spencer is the first time Prince William and Prince Harry have been brought into the centrefold beyond a passing mention or token scene in any royal biopic.

New Diana film ‘unnecessarily gratuitous’

A gut wrenching scene from the forthcoming Diana film Spencer sees a young Prince William close to tears as his troubled mum locks herself in her bathroom.

Royal biographer and expert Penny Junor said: “It is unnecessarily gratuitous.

“Poor old William is all I can say. And let’s leave Diana with a shred of respect and dignity. I know William was there when she was unhappy but it sounds to me the movie is factually incorrect.”

PRINCESS Diana is seen battling bulimia and self-harming in the latest big screen adaptation of her life, Spencer.

The late royal is portrayed as an emotionally unstable, broken woman trapped within a heartless archaic institution in the controversial new flick.

From envisioning throwing herself down the stairs to choking on a pearl necklace gifted to her by Charles, the Princess is rarely not seen in a state of distress during the nearly two-hour film.

In scenes sure to upset the Royal Family – especially Prince William and Prince Charles – the monarchy is seen stripped back to a cold firm set in its ways, unwilling to bend or compromise to any degree.

While Charles’ infidelity and lack of affection are repeatedly drawn on during the film, so is young Prince William’s heartbreak at watching his mother in pain.

Unimpressed

According to a royal source, the future monarch is hopping to turn the royal residence into a public attraction, and some courtiers have expressed their concerns.

Buckingham Palace has served as the official London residence of the UK’s sovereigns since 1837 and is also where the Queen’s offices are situated.

Royal commentator Neil Sean told the Express that Her Majesty is not a fan of turning the historic pad into a tourist trap.

He said: “This will not be happening anytime soon, particularly while we still have our gracious Majesty the Queen with us.

“She’s not very keen on that particular idea and believes of course, that it should remain a family home of sorts.

“Her Majesty the Queen will go between Windsor Castle, which she considers her main London base, and spending two to four days a week also out at the re-renovated Buckingham Palace.”

Queen ‘spending millions funding Andrew’s case’ – reports

The Queen, 95, is reportedly funding Andrew’s legal fight, The Telegraph understands, and is spending millions on her son’s defence.

Buckingham Palace chose not to comment when contacted by The Sun.

Her Majesty reportedly decided to pay for her son’s defence at the start of 2020 – just after his disastrous interview on Newsnight with Emily Maitlis – according to the newspaper

The money going towards Andrew’s legal costs is reportedly coming from her Duchy of Lancaster estate, which generates more than £23 million in income.

Kate ‘too tired’ to get to know Meghan

KATE Middleton “didn’t have the energy” to bond with Meghan Markle before the royal wedding, a royal author has claimed.

Biographer Andrew Morton claimed that Kate was exhausted in the run up to the Sussexes’ royal wedding due to her being pregnant with third child, Prince Louis.

In his unauthorised biography, Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, Andrew claims Kate being pregnant for the majority of Meghan’s wedding preparations got in the way of a friendship developing.

He said: “Kate and Meghan were neither sisters nor, unlike Fergie and Diana, friends before they joined the Royal Family.

“What is more, during the build-up to Meghan’s wedding, Kate was experiencing her third difficult pregnancy and was focused on her own welfare. She did not have much energy to bond with her new neighbour.

“When they sat together in the royal box to watch the Ladies’ Singles Final at Wimbledon in July 2018, the two women were still getting to know one another.”

Appearing on the Channel 5 documentary Sandringham: Royals at Christmas, head of recruitment Tracey Waterman revealed how she weeds out the weaker housekeeping candidates.

She explained: “One of the tests I like to do, to see if a candidate has potential eye for detail, is to place a dead fly, either in the fireplace or on the carpet.

“Once the dead fly is placed, I then bring the candidate into the room.”

After allowing them to take a quick look around the room, Tracey then brings them over to admire the fireplace.

She added: “At this point I’d expect them to see the dead fly, and hopefully pick it up.

“It’s a great test, maybe out of 10 people half the candidates will notice the fly.

“One out of ten will actually bend down and pick it up, that’s the special housekeeper.

“The difference between a housekeeper in a five-star hotel and in a royal palace would be attention to detail.”

Prince Harry’s rage over Meghan Markle’s wedding tiara sparked their tensions with the palace – but it was the Duchess who was branded difficult, a royal expert has claimed.

In the bombshell piece, Andrew Morton, the author of Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, claimed “Harry was the ‘prime mover’ in souring relations”.

In six new chapters of the book which was first published in 2018, Mr Morton claimed the colossal rift between the Sussexes and the Firm began with Harry sticking up for his wife-to-be before they tied the knot.

In November 2018, The Times reported that Meghan had thrown a “tiara tantrum” shortly before her wedding because the tiara she wanted to wear was not available.

But now Morton has relieved that it was actually Prince Harry that had kicked off leading up to their big day.

He wrote: “Harry was the ‘prime mover’ in souring relations between the Sussexes and the Royal Family, but it was Meghan who ‘took the hit’.”

The Duke of Sussex reportedly ‘shouted’ at royal dresser Angela Kelly when the tiara Meghan had planned on wearing for the wedding could not be produced for an unscheduled hair appointment.

He says that Harry “was overwrought” when he learnt that the tiara was not available and told “anyone that would listen” that: “What Meghan wants, Meghan gets.”

The Royal Family “may never see Prince George become King”.

Royal commentator Daniela Elser has pinpointed how the turmoil facing the Firm didn’t make a “pretty picture” for its future.

Speaking about the change that will happen in the coming years as the Queen’s reign ends, she said: “When that mournful day comes, we might not be only saying goodbye to a truly iconic figure but farewelling the last and final Queen of the UK.

“It will be up to her son, grandson and great-grandson what comes next; they will be fighting for nothing short of survival.”

Andrew’s personal finances are unclear but experts have pointed out that he has no regular source of income.

He leases his home, Royal Lodge on the Queen’s Windsor estate, and is expected to sell a Swiss ski chalet to repay a debt to its previous owner, who claims he and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson owe her £6.7 million.

The Queen’s contribution to Andrew’s defence reportedly means his UK-based legal team, led by Gary Bloxsome, are reportedly obliged to provide updates to Buckingham Palace about the case.

Sussexes attempted to pull focus from Royals onto themselves

Claims they were filming for Netflix continued after pictures emerged showing a cameraman trailing the couple for much of their trip.

Royal writer Angela Levin told The Sun: “As well as attempting to pull focus from the Royal Family onto themselves, they appeared to be filming the whole thing for a Netflix documentary.

“Harry was spotted with a microphone wire going into his back pocket and cameras were catching every moment of their chats with members of the public and the mayor of New York.

“My question is whether they have told all the people they are talking to that they will be included [in the documentary].”

SARAH Ferguson, The Duchess of York, has said that the Royal Family ‘moves together as a unit’ in light of Prince Andrew’s recent scandals.

She is the former wife of Prince Andrew and recently declared that she still stands by her wedding vows despite getting divorced back in 1996.

Speaking to Good Morning Britain, Sarah said of Her Majesty: “She’s such an extraordinary, legendary, iconic monarch that leads by example… at 95-years-old, still carries on.

“And, for me, we get on with it and we move together as a unit”.

‘Royal version of the Kardashians’

The Sun’s new columnist, Piers Morgan, says the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been a “relentless orgy of money-grabbing duplicity” since moving to the US.

But while the Kardashians, who have made their millions from life in the public eye, are “honest” about their mission to become billionaires, Meghan and Harry are not – according to Piers.

He said the former royals “have their noses permanently rammed in the regal trough” and “intend to keep them there until they’ve made themselves repulsively rich and famous”.

“In this regard, they’re the royal version of the Kardashians,” Piers writes in the Daily Mail.

He describes them as “people with no discernible talent other than for pimping themselves out to the highest bidders and a craven desire to air their dirty family linen in public for financial gain.”

On one’s marks

THE QUEEN glowed in orange in her first physical engagement since the pandemic as she kicked off the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games with Prince Edward at her side this morning.

The Queen’s Baton Relay began from the forecourt of Buckingham Palace before embarking on its 90,000 mile international journey to all 72 nations and territories taking part.

Her Majesty placed her message inside the “smart” baton, which was automatically sealed, ahead of its 294-day journey.

She then handed it to Paralympic gold medallist Kadeena Cox, who will take it on its first leg of its voyage.

Secret settlement

A JUDGE formally agreed with Prince Andrew’s request to see a secret settlement involving his sex assault accuser today  – which he hopes will defeat her lawsuit against him.

Lawyers for Virginia Roberts Giuffre had agreed to hand over a copy of a “release” signed in 2009 – following her legal settlement with sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

US District Judge Loretta Preska has rubber-stamped the request.

Attorneys for Andrew, 61, hope the secret clause will show he is exempt from any culpability in her bombshell sex assault claims against him.

But Virginia’s lawyers have branded it “irrelevant”.

The secret agreement is said to not apply to the royal – instead releasing lawyers, employees, agents and heirs from liability in connection with the Epstein case.

Another name

According to royal biographer Robert Lacey, Prince Charles and Princess Diana faced this exact dilemma when their son Prince William was born in June 1982.

Writing for PEOPLE magazine, the author claims Charles preferred the name Arthur.

However, Diana allegedly wasn’t convinced.

The expert wrote: “Diana, Princess of Wales proposed a more robust name — William, as in ‘William the Conqueror,’ victor of the famed Battle of Hastings in 1066.”

As a result, the couple found a compromise.

Instead, they used Arthur as one of William’s middle names – along with Philip and Louis.

Queen launches Commonwealth Games relay

The Queen has held her first major event at Buckingham Palace since the pandemic began, launching her Commonwealth Games 2022 baton on a global relay.

Paralympic gold medallist Kadeena Cox was given the honour of taking the baton on the first leg of its 90,000-mile journey which will lead to the opening ceremony in the host city Birmingham.

The Queen handed the symbol for the “friendly games” to four-time Paralympic champion Cox – who won two gold medals at Rio 2016 and two at Tokyo 2020 – after a message to the athletes and the Commonwealth was inserted into the baton.

The televised event in the palace forecourt was another step in the gradual return to normality following the upheavals of the Covid-19 outbreak.
