“Nigeria Happened To You” – Angry Reactions Trail Death Of Dr. Chinelo Killed In Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack
The reported death of Dr. Megafu Nwando Chinelo, one of the victims onboard the ill-fated Abuja-Kaduna train attacked by bandit terrorists on Monday night has attracted emotional and angry reactions on social media.
This is as the doctor was said to have tweeted about her safety when the train was attacked but some social media users tagged her alarm as fake news.
Chinelo, a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt was said to have resigned from her appointment at St Gerald’s hospital in Kaduna amidst plans to relocate abroad on Friday.
“I’m in the train. I have been shot please pray for me,” Chinelo’s last tweet on the microblogging platform read.
However, the female medical doctor was said to have later died from gunshot wounds sustained during the attack.
The development has sparked several angry and emotional reactions on Twitter with many netizens lamenting that her country had failed such a young promising talent.
It also brought back emotional memories of Bamise Ayanwole who was abducted by a BRT bus driver in Lagos State, and later found dead under strange circumstances.
See some of the reactions culled by Naija News from Twitter.
All Chinelo said was “Pray for me.” That is all she said. She was then targeted and subjected to abuse by a group of vile and evil creatures. Cos she was shot and asked for prayers so she could survive.
This thing hurt me to my marrows!!!

Gbenga Gold, Iyabo Awokoya (AKA Mama Poverty), Woye & Ishaka are some Buhari supporters & SW APC who mocked Dr. Chinelo for alerting us of the imminent treat to her life. They equally led the #EndSARS Lekki Tollgate Killings denials. Remember their names, don’t ever forget them!!

It hurts that there are more than a thousand ways to die in this country. We as a people shouldn’t allow the darkness choke out our humanity. Stay safe out there pic.twitter.com/9GffhWjbV5— Adeolu OkuSAGA (@SagaDeolu) March 29, 2022
I can imagine Chinelo reading those terrible comments under her tweet as she breathe her last. Perhaps if she got some words of encouragement she could have hung on. She only requested for prayers.. May God punish

my country keeps showing us new levels of how much it has failed us, “you think we failed you enough yesterday? we’d fail you a lot more today”. Nobody’s safe except the govt people in their bulletproof trucks bought with money they stole from us. Whew

Those same set of people that attacked the late Chinelo are the same set that attacked and trolled me when the police brutalized me. These are sycophants who are loyal only to their political gods. They care not for this country and have no conscience whatsoever left in them.

That chinelo babe really died, just like that, gone?
The concept of life doesn’t always make sense to me, how does one live to a certain age and boom, just like that, you stop to exist and nothing can be done ?
God grant her family strength too

Dr Chinelo was making an honest living, she was working at St Gerald’s hospital in Kaduna, she wanted more for herself and processed her papers to leave this hell-hole. She resigned last month to leave the country this Friday then this happened. Nigeria why???💔💔💔

May the soul of Dr Chinelo rest in peace. May God console her family and friends. May everyone who mocked her, played politics with her death or falsely accuse other people of vileness over this issue be eternally disgraced.
