FG Flags Off Nexit CBN Agric Business Investment Scheme For Over 460,000 Exited N-Power Beneficiaries
Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Sadia Omar Farooq has announced the much awaited NEXIT / CBN Agri Business Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Scheme for the beneficiaries going out of N-Power Batch A and B.
Of the 467,183 interested learners, 75,600 will participate in the first phase of the Orientation Program, which is expected to result in a loan of NIRA 30 million from the Central Bank of Nigeria if they qualify.
At the flag-raising ceremony at the Press Center, Radio House Abuja on Monday, the Minister, representing Permanent Secretary Bashir Noora Alkali, thanked President Mohammed Buhari for the government’s tireless efforts and support for poverty alleviation in the country. And maintaining the National Social Investment Program.
He also congratulated 467,183 apprentices who out of 500,000 beneficiaries in the NEXIT CBN AGSMEIS program who have dropped out of npower batch A and B out of 500,000 beneficiaries.
Omar Farooq noted that this is the first of many other phases to be held in 36 states and the FCT ”
I wish that the beneficiaries of N-Power’s outgoing batches A and B would not be left alone. Through various channels, I keep reassuring these allied youth that the Ministry of Human Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development is working closely with the Central Bank of Nigeria to make this dream a reality.
“Today marks the beginning of the long-awaited completion of this training that will enable interested beneficiaries to participate in CBN’s empowerment program.
“To facilitate coordination, this training will be conducted in program phases. Let us also inform you that 36 states and FCTs are participating in this long awaited NEXIT training program. A total of 75,600 participants participated in this first wave of training. We will continue to train the remaining batches in some time.
“The Federal Ministries of Human Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development are committed to ensuring that the strategic objectives of all social intervention programs are used to achieve the desired goals and objectives.
The NPower Program is an important part of the National Social Investment Program at the Federal Ministry of Human Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development designed to achieve the national goals of poverty alleviation and job creation. The N-Power program is key to helping young Nigerians acquire and develop lifelong skills that ensure they become solicitors and entrepreneurs in their communities. In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary representing Rafael Oreluno, Director of Planning, Research and Statistics, urged the beneficiaries to take advantage of this opportunity wisely.
“I would like to emphasize that every student should see this unique opportunity as a blessing that should not be wasted. Remember how we traveled through it. You finally got the chance. Maintain a high level of seriousness in what you will be taught during and after the training program. As a beneficiary, you will be provided with the necessary training which will ensure your participation in the CBN package designed for this purpose ”.
Dr. Omar Binder Alao, National Coordinator of the National Social Investment Program, advised the beneficiaries of the CBN package to be independent.
At the end of the five days training, eligible beneficiaries will get a loan of up to 30 lakh naira with a maximum term of seven years.
