Meghan Markle news latest – Lawyer claims bullying story is ‘absolutely untrue’ & Piers Morgan has ‘unpleasant surprise’
MEGHAN Markle’s lawyer Jenny Afia insisted claims that the duchess “traumatised” Palace staff are “absolutely untrue” – and the term bullying is used “very casually”.
Jenny was speaking to BBC journalist Amol Rajan on podcast Harry, Meghan and the Media, and said: “What bullying actually means is improperly using power repeatedly and deliberately to hurt someone, physically or emotionally.
“I wasn’t there at the time but it doesn’t match my experience of her at all and I’ve seen her at very, very stressful times.
“So that story is absolutely untrue that she is a bully.”
The news comes as Piers Morgan launches his new, no-holds-barred column in The Sun next week and, naturally, promises to have the last word on the mouthy Duchess of Sussex.
He says: “The column is called Uncensored because it does what it says on the tin.
“Pushy little Princess Pinocchio tried her utmost to cancel me, and she will be in for a very unpleasant surprise when I emerge, like Lazarus, from my den.”

Kate’s similarities Diana (continued…)
“Not only has Kate shown a willingness to interact with everyday people when attending public events – no other Royal has interacted with the public as much as William and Kate since Diana – but she also displays the same level of true empathy and sympathy as Diana did.
“She’s not afraid to display her emotions whether it be when she’s meeting with children, visiting those in hospital or connecting with members of the public around the world.
“She is happy to be an emotional support to others and it’s clear she truly cares.”

Kate’s similarities to Diana
It’s clear to see that Kate is a very genuine person and this is something that hasn’t changed.
And now body language expert Darren Stanton has pointed out the similarities that Kate displays to Princess Diana.
Darren added: “Other public figures, like celebrities and even other Royal family members, can tend to show a fake smile or disingenuous displays of emotion at certain events – however, Kate is very much an open book.
“She is always seen with a very open and honest smile denoted by visible crow’s feet around her eyes. Her whole face is engaged when smiling and it’s clear she has developed a massive confidence not only as a Royal and a public figure, but as a parent too.
“It can be said that there are also a lot of similarities between Kate and Princess Diana.”

Royal Family’s ‘whole future rests with William & Kate’
With the Queen now 95 and stepping back from public duties on health grounds, William’s father Charles and his second wife, Camilla, have become more prominent.
But with Charles now 73, his reign, when it starts, is already being seen as a transition to William and Kate’s more up-to-date, empathetic, Instagrammable version of a venerable institution.
Royal author Phil Dampier said with Harry in self-exile, Andrew in the shadows, and other senior royals ageing, “the whole future rests with William and Kate”.
“Fortunately they look up to the task and I’m sure her best is yet to come,” he told the Daily Mail.

Windsor Castle could be placed under ‘no-fly zone’ (continued…)
The Metropolitan Police said the local community have been invited to give their views on the application for the restricted airspace order.
A spokesman for the force said: “As part of the Met Police’s responsibilities under the Royal and Specialist Protection Command, the Met is responsible for policing within the footprint of Windsor Castle and we work closely with Thames Valley Police to ensure the castle and the surrounding areas are kept safe and secure.
“As part of our ongoing review of security arrangements at Windsor Castle, and working in partnership with Thames Valley Police, we applied for a restricted airspace order for up to 2,500ft at a radius of 1.5 nautical miles around Windsor Castle.
“This was not brought about in response to any specific threat or intelligence, but was intended to further enhance the security at what is an iconic location and keep the community living nearby safe.”

‘No-fly zone’ could be placed around Windsor castle after Christmas incident
A “no-fly zone” could be placed over Windsor Castle as its security arrangements are reviewed, the Metropolitan Police said.
An application for the restricted airspace order has been made and, if successful, would prevent aircrafts from flying up to 2,500ft above and 1.5 nautical miles around Windsor Castle.
The Metropolitan Police said the order would “further enhance the security at what is an iconic location and keep the community living nearby safe”.
The force added that the order was applied for as part of its ongoing review into security arrangements and not because of any specific threat or intelligence.
On Christmas Day, a 19-year-old man was arrested while allegedly in possession of a crossbow at Windsor Castle. The Metropolitan Police said he had been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.
Officers are also reviewing a video that appears to show a masked figure in a dark hoodie holding a crossbow and addressing the camera with a distorted voice, saying they wanted to “assassinate the Queen” in a “revenge” mission.

Kate Middleton is no longer ‘the sister Prince Harry never had’
KATE Middleton is no longer “the sister Prince Harry never had”, a royal expert has said.
The Duchess of Cambridge formed a close friendship with the Duke of Sussex while he was a working royal, teaming up on a number of projects.
Harry famously described Kate as “the sister he never had” and together with Prince William and Meghan Markle, the two couples were known as the Fab Four.
But the group’s relationship appeared to breakdown when Harry and Meghan quit royal life – and Kate and Harry’s friendship is now said to be “long in the past”.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Royal commentator Duncan Larcombe said: “Kate was, as Harry said, the sister he never had and clearly that is not the case any more.
“There was a time when Harry would have been instrumental in any celebrations or any fun that the couple were having, but those days are long in the past.”

William ‘didn’t want to attend Diana statue with Harry’ amid rift, says pal
PRINCE William didn’t want to attend a memorial for his mother Diana with his brother Harry amid their ongoing rift, a royal source has claimed.
The Duke of Cambridge was reportedly still “furious” with his brother in the weeks before a statue was unveiled at Kensington Palace last year to mark their mother’s 60th birthday.
Both brothers had been warring with each other after Harry and wife Meghan chose to step down as senior royals.
It appeared the siblings had put aside their differences to honour Diana – although Harry reportedly left 20 minutes after sharing a glass of bubbly following the unveiling. Now a close pal has revealed that William did not want to go to the event with his brother.
They told the Sunday Times: “William was still furious. He had taken the view that he’d only give so much. He just didn’t want to go there [with Harry].”

Kate Middleton ‘now the ultimate media star’
The Sun’s Royal Photographer tells the remarkable inside story of how he watched through his lens as shy art student Kate Middleton transformed into our future Queen.
“The first time I took a photograph of Kate Middleton, I didn’t know who on Earth she was.
“Prince William had invited a group of his friends from university to Sandringham for the weekend.
“It was only when I was looking through some old photographs recently that I spotted Kate among William’s pals.
“And you would not recognise her.
“Back then you would never have credited that the young woman who walked through those gates would turn out to be our future queen.
“Kate is now the ultimate media star.”

Kate will celebrate her 40th privately and at home with husband Prince William, 39, and their three children George, eight, Charlotte, six, and three-year-old Louis.
But she released three photos that pay tribute publicly to Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Victoria.

In the next image the two women can be seen on the balcony of Buckingham Palace at Trooping the Colour in 2016.

Kate Middleton celebrates 40th birthday TODAY
The Duchess of Cmabridge has turned 40 today, hitting the milestone as her profile soars alongside her husband, Prince William, the future king.
Since marrying into Britain’s most famous family in 2011, Kate has emerged as one of the most popular senior royals — and a figure central to its future.
Her image as a safe pair of hands, at a tricky time for the monarchy, was boosted at a televised Christmas carol concert in December.
She delighted fans with her musical prowess by accompanying the British singer-songwriter Tom Walker on piano for his poignant song “For Those Who Can’t Be Here”.
Kate rehearsed in secret for the surprise performance at Westminster Abbey, which was dedicated to everyone who served their communities during the coronavirus pandemic.

‘Andrew is going to have a hard time’
Spencer Kuvin, who represents victims of paedo Epstein, said: “Andrew is going to have a hard time on this — it is not clear-cut for his lawyers at all. I think he is going to still have to sweat on this lawsuit for a while. That is, if he can.”
Virginia, 38, claims Andrew, 61, sexually assaulted her three times when she was 17.
He denies it and cannot remember meeting her, although they were photographed together.
-
Royal outrage
The Duke of Cornwall and the Duke of Cambridge are reportedly fuming over suggestions the Queen may be asked to settle her son’s fees – although some sources have already said she won’t.
Andrew is currently waiting on tenterhooks for a judge to decide whether his rape accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s civil lawsuit will be ditched.
And in the meantime, it is believed he is having to raise funds to pay for the ongoing legal battle, with Wills and Charles both reportedly adamant the Queen should not bail him out.
A source told the Mirror: “They are both of the opinion that Andrew can sort out his own mess.”
Prince Andrew has always fiercely denied the allegations against him.
If the lawsuit goes ahead, he will face a full civil trial in New York over claims he sexually abused Ms Giuffre on three occasions in 2001 when she was 17.
But insiders have claimed he could try to settle the lawsuit out of court if it goes to trial, with his lawyers keeping the settlement option “on the table” due to the negative impact a court case could have on other senior royals.

Downing Street: ‘Likely’ PM’s audience with Queen to go virtual
Downing Street said it was likely the Prime Minister’s audiences with the Queen would move to being virtual.
Asked whether Boris Johnson would continue to meet the Queen in person, the Prime Minister’s official spokesman said: “That will be a matter for the royal family.
“I’m not aware of them not being… I think they will probably be moved virtually but that’ll be a matter for the palace.”

Kate’s evolving fashion
We are all obsessed with Kate’s style – whatever she wears she looks phenomenal.
Darren points out that Kate’s fashion has evolved over the years and her fashion choices display her kind personality.
He explained: “Kate has become more and more sophisticated in her fashion choices and while she has never sought the limelight, she has learnt how to deal with being in the public eye and accepts it’s part and parcel of her marriage.
“Like Princess Diana, Kate has undeniably become a global fashion icon, especially when pictured conducting official Royal duties.
“She often wears famous designers and interacts and mixes with the world’s biggest stars and celebrities, with her dress choices becoming increasingly bolder and more striking.
“Bold colours, sequins and slightly more revealing designs are a very good indicator that Kate now feels like she has found a true inner confidence in her role within the Royal family and within her relationship with William – with the pair often portraying a power couple when on the red carpet together.”

Who is the Princes attorney?
The Duke of York’s attorney Andrew Brettler will present his motion to dismiss Virginia Giuffre’s sex assault civil lawsuit.
Mr Brettler is a notable Hollywood lawyer and senior partner with Lavely & Singer, who has previously represented several celebrities accused of sexual assault.
These include actor Armie Hammer, and singer-songwriter Ryan Adams.

Back and better than ever
Nine months after refusing to apologise to Meghan Markle — which saw him unceremoniously axed from Good Morning Britain — the star is back: Bigger, better, bolder and, now, uncensored.
He launches his new, no-holds-barred column in The Sun next week and, naturally, promises to have the last word on the mouthy Duchess of Sussex.
He says: “The column is called Uncensored because it does what it says on the tin.
“Effectively I was censored at my previous job and told to apologise to Meghan Markle for an honestly held opinion, which obviously I wasn’t going to do.
“Pushy little Princess Pinocchio tried her utmost to cancel me, and she will be in for a very unpleasant surprise when I emerge, like Lazarus, from my den.
“It was a pretty bruising experience on Good Morning Britain but I’m now working somewhere where I’m free to express my opinions.”

National anthem debate
Andrew Rosindell MP told the Commons the anthem provides “a great sense of unity and pride”.
He said during the Platinum Jubilee the BBC should play it at the end of programming — at 1am or 2am depending on weekdays or weekends.
Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries described the suggestion as “fantastic”.
The BBC used to play the anthem every night but the tradition was scrapped in 1997.
Culture minister Chris Philp backed the idea and other expressions of patriotism, including flying the Union Jack.
He said: “The more we hear the national anthem sung, frankly, the better.
“Organisations like schools are free to promote it and the more we can do in this area, the better it’ll be.”

Becoming a mother (Continued…)
Darren continued, “She seems happy to be seen as a relatable mum, dealing with all things parents would usually deal with while raising three young children – what you see is what you get with her.
“The main difference with Kate compared to other Royals is that we do not see such displays of affection with the Royal children like she gives.
“If you look at historical footage of the Queen with the children, and also Princess Anne, we do not see the same level of rapport as we do with Kate.
“Historically, the Royal children have been chaperoned by staff during public engagements, but Kate tends not to do that and both her and Will are often seen hand-in-hand with their brood – choosing to be present and hands-on.”
-
Becoming a mother
In the last decade, Kate has become a mother, welcoming three children with William.
Darren has commented on her maternal instinct and how this has developed over the years.
He said: “Her maternal instinct is often displayed through her body language, which too has evolved as she’s got older.
“In many photos and video clips, Kate is seen kneeling down to the height of her children when she is talking to them – a gesture that is both nurturing and protective.
“Kate has also been seen to chastise Princess Charlotte in photos where her daughter was misbehaving.
“While other Royals would never have been happy to be seen in this light, Kate’s body language remains open and transparent.”

How did Kate celebrate last year?
It comes after Kate marked her 39th birthday in lockdown last year, celebrating with her family at their home in Norfolk, as the nation was once again told to stay at home.
In a message thanking fans for their kind well wishes, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s official social media account said at the time: “Thank you for your kind wishes on The Duchess’ birthday.
“Birthdays have been very different in recent months, and our thoughts continue to be with all those working on the front line at this hugely challenging time.”

Kate Middleton to ‘ditch big 40th birthday party’
The Duchess of Cambridge turns 40 on Sunday – but is understood to be ditching any party plans amid the rise in Covid cases.
Her special day comes just a few months before the Queen is expected to throw William a bash for his own 40th in June, with Windsor Castle or Sandringham among possible venue options.
And it’s believed Kate, who will reportedly “celebrate privately with her family” this weekend, could join him centre stage.
Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, told the Mirror: “The Queen is tremendously fond of enjoying such occasions and this would be no different.
“There’s a lot to look forward to in her Platinum Jubilee year, and with both William and Kate turning 40 it’s an extra excuse to celebrate.
“This is a pretty big one for the Cambridges so it should be quite the party.”
