Love Island: Jacques tells Paige he wants her to be his girlfriend as he bids a tearful farewell
Jacques O’Neill told Paige Thorne he wants her to be his girlfriend and will wait for her on the outside as he left the villa on Tuesday’s Love Island.
Paige was left in floods of tears after Jacques broke the news he was leaving with bombshell Adam Collard asking the group: ‘That’s not because of me is it?’ following his flirtation with Paige.
Before he went to pack his bags, Jacques pulled Paige aside and told her: ‘I want you to be my girlfriend. I want that. I’ll wait. I’ll be counting down the days until you get out.’

Speaking to the girls, a tearful Paige insisted she supported Jacques’ decision to leave as he hasn’t been himself over the last few weeks.
She said: ‘I support what he’s doing because I know he’s not being himself. He does have the biggest heart in here. But this makes my life so much harder.’
‘You’ve got us,’ Ekin-Su told her, to which she said: ‘I know he’s got so much more to give and I just wish I had seen it all.’
Gathering the islanders around the firepit, Jacques said: ‘Lately, I feel like I can’t be myself. I’m not going to fake it. I’m going to be leaving today.

‘I just can’t stick around and not be myself, it’s not fair to me and it’s definitely not fair to Paige. If that means removing myself from the situation and waiting for Paige, that’s what I’m going to do.’
As Jacques said his goodbyes, Adam stood up and asked: ‘That’s not because of me is it?’ with the girls telling him: ‘No, don’t think like that.’
Earlier in the episode, Jacques had to be talked down from a furious showdown with rival Adam after being told the bombshell was ‘slagging’ him off.

Tash kicked things off by telling Jacques that Adam ‘had a conversation with me and he was like, obviously I was talking about Andrew and he was like, ‘We I think actions speak louder than words”.
Jacques said: ‘Oi, I hope he said stuff like that about me, because we’ll have a bit of biff then,’ only for his ex Gemma Owen to jump in, revealing ‘Oh he was proper slagging you off.’
‘What do you mean? What’s he saying?’ said Jacques, getting riled up.

Rival: It was announced on Tuesday that Jacques had decided to quit the show, and a new teaser shows the rugby player getting wound up by what Adam has been saying about him
‘Immature, I think it was. Something like that,’ the girls told him, causing the furious star to stand up, getting ready to confront Adam.
Jacques then pulled Paige for a talk, telling her of Adam: ‘Who the f**ks he? Just another geezer who’s been on the show. He’s f**king nothing mate. Do you know what I mean?’
‘Alright and then keep that in mind,’ Paige said in a bid to calm him down. ‘You don’t need to rise to it and be like bitey with it, do you know what I mean? What does it actually change? Nothing.’

‘You know what I get like, if a boy’s gonna chat s**t behind my back, I don’t f**king have it.’ Jacques insisted. ‘If he tries to speak to me, I’ll say ‘f**k off, don’t speak to me.”
Still fuming after learning that Adam was slagging him off, Jacques went to speak with Luca and some of the other boys.
Adam soon wondered over to the group, with Jacques hardly hiding his fury as he accused the bombshell of having a ‘game plan’.
‘What’s your game plan?’ Jacques asked, to which Adam replied: ‘Speak to as many people in possible’
Jacques asked: ‘What’s your convo like with girls?’
‘I think it’s good,’ Adam answered, with Jacques replying: ‘We’ll see, won’t we? Crack on boy.’

The next day, Jacques broke down in tears as he told Paige he wanted to leave the villa.
‘You mean so much to me, you know that. The past two weeks, I’m finding it hard. I’m trying to put a brave face on but things are getting to me. I just wish I could finish my journey with you in here but, I’m going to home today.’
Paige began to shed tears as the pair hugged, with Jacques telling her: ‘Still enjoy your time in here. Do what you need to do. Don’t even think about me when I leave.’

‘I don’t want you to go. It hurts me seeing you this way,’ Paige said. ‘I just feel so guilty.’
‘For us to work, I need to get back to myself and the only way to get back to myself is by going home. I can’t carry on like this. You can have the best time without me. I’m picking you up at the airport.’
Speaking in the Beach Hut, Jacques said: ‘I’d say the last week, the only thing keeping me was Paige. I’ve never felt this way for anyone. I just want to get home, be myself again and carry things on. ‘

Elsewhere during the episode, Tasha decided to give Andrew another chance after he got intimate with Coco during Casa Amor.
Speaking on the balcony, Tasha admitted that while she does get on with Billy, who she is currently coupled up with, Andrew is the one she wants.
She said: I have a connection with Billy and I had to boil it down to how I feel. I might be holding back a bit because I am scared of getting hurt after what happened with Coco.

Tasha said: ‘I’ll give you another chance,’ before the pair kissed.
Tasha later appeared to be having second thoughts however as she broke down in tears while in bed with Billy.
Asking her what was wrong, she admitted guilt at getting back with Andrew, telling him: ‘Part of me is like, he can easily hurt me again, and the fear of missing out on you.’
