Leona Lewis steps out in public for the first time since revealing pregnancy

Leona Lewis was seen for the first time since confirming her pregnancy as she stepped out in Los Angeles with her husband Dennis Jauch on Thursday.

The X Factor winner, 36, who shared the happy news earlier this week, looked radiant in a black Bardot-style dress which highlighted her growing bump.

The Grammy-winning musician was seen visiting Tao of Wellness, a traditional Chinese acupuncture clinic in Santa Monica with her husband.

The glowing star recently revealed that her first child is due in the summer as she confirmed the news with a stunning snap, wearing a figure-hugging black dress.

Leona styled her linen cut out dress with a pair of strappy Stella McCartney wedges, while she accessorised with a series of gold chain necklaces.

The former X Factor star wore her brunette ombre locks in a natural loose style and appeared to be sporting soft touches of make-up.

Leona carried her essentials in a woven clutch bag.

Dennis was wearing a black T-shirt and jeans for the outing, while styling his look with a checkered Celine bum bag and gold chain neckaces.

He was wearing his dark locks swept back and sported a face of stubble.

Earlier this week, Leona showed off her growing bump in a black dress as she posed for a radiant shoot – and revealed her baby news with husband Dennis.

She wrote: Can’t wait to meet you in the Summer’ with friends and fans rushing to congratulate her.

Sources recently told The Sun hat Leona has passed the 12-week mark and said the ‘over the moon’ couple told their family and friends their news at the beginning of the year.

They added: ‘They [Leona and Dennis] can’t wait to welcome their new arrival and to become a family of three.’

The X Factor winner married choreographer Dennis in a lavish ceremony in Tuscany, Italy, in 2019 after 10 years of dating.

In November 2018, notoriously private Leona revealed she was engaged to her long-term love by sharing a picture of her eye-catching diamond ring while on holiday in San Juan.

Just one year after tying the knot with Dennis, Leona revealed that she wanted children and said she would like to adopt because of her mother’s experience growing up in a children’s home.

She told Stella magazine: ‘I do want children, but Dennis and I have also talked about adopting.

‘My mum grew up in a children’s home. No one adopted her as a child, and I would very much like to adopt.

‘But I’m still figuring things out. If it was up to my husband, we would have had kids yesterday.’

In 2013, Leona said that she had always wanted to get married in her 20s but then realised that she was ‘not ready’ when she reached her late 20s.

In December, Leona revealed she still stays in contact with her X Factor mentor Simon Cowell on The Jonathan Ross Show.

The singer spoke about leaving Simon’s record label, Syco, in 2014, saying: ‘It was [an amicable split] – we’re still good, we keep in contact, he checks in on me, I check in on him.’

She continued: ‘Throughout the show, he was definitely a real mentor and really involved in helping me with song choices, arrangements. He’s been a big supporter.’

‘[The X Factor was] such a huge platform… It was at the time when YouTube was starting to bubble up… the videos would go viral, it was crazy.’

Following her X Factor victory, Leona was immediately signed to Syco and went on to sell more than 20 million records with the company.

However, in the Better in Time hitmaker walked away from Cowell’s label in favour of Island Records.

The long-running talent show was axed for good in July after 17 years, with Simon saying he didn’t want it to ‘become a bit of a joke.’
