Lagos State Government internship programme 2020: The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu approved the Internship Program (GIPPLASG) for 4,000 unemployed graduates under the Internship Placement Program, GIPP, to reduce the state’s unemployment rate.
This was revealed in a statement by the Honorary Commissioner for Employment and Wealth Creation, Ms. Yetunde Arobieke through the Lagos state government’s official Twitter controller.
Arobieke said, GIPP is designed to provide candidates with the opportunity to develop the employability and job readiness skills needed to ensure profitable employment.
The State Government has put in place a program to help candidates develop the skills needed to ensure stable employment.
About Lagos State Internship Programmes 2020
- Applicants must possess NYSC Certificates or letters of exemption.
- Applicants must be registered residents of the State with Lagos State Residents Registration Agency, LASRRA.
- The Graduate Internship Placement Programme is for a period of six months, of which a monthly stipend of N40,000 will be paid for the duration of the internship.

She added that the Internship Program will cover the third and fourth pillars of the current administration’s T.H.E.M.E.S agenda, while beneficiaries will be paid a monthly stipend of N 40,000 during the period. 6 months of practice.
