Kim Kardashian likely spent $36k on a ‘lip flip’, knee lipo & more for D&G collab, her face looks ‘odd’, surgeon says
KIM Kardashian could’ve shelled out thousands remodeling her face and legs in the run-up to her D&G appearances in Milan, a surgeon has said.
And he thinks that while the reality star’s facial features look strange, Kim’s crinkly knees are unusual given her leg type.
Recently, Milan Fashion Week saw Kim Kardashian representing the Italian fashion house D&G during a grueling 24-hour appearance window.
And with the world’s media capturing her every movement, photos of the new D&G muse’s altered face and body quickly circulated online.
As surgery speculation grew, one Reddit user noted she looks “scary,” while others claimed the photos prove she’s gone under the knife.
One wrote: “She doesn’t look bad … but her nose scares me,” before adding: “Nose and cheeks.”
Rumors surrounding Kim Kardashian’s fondness for cosmetic treatments have been circulating for years – but with a focus on her face, butt, and boobs.
Previously in a 2010 interview with ABC News’ Nightline, Kim admitted: “I’m absolutely not against cosmetic surgery,” before adding, “I’ve previously tried Botox. That’s the only thing that I’ve done,”
And while the reality star since claimed to have had treatments like laser hair removal and butt injections for her psoriasis, little is known about any invasive cosmetic surgery.
Over the years, the mom-of-four has set herself up as an all-American beauty idol.
In August 2022, ahead of her high-profile collaboration with D&G, Kim told Allure magazine that she’d reduced her Botox injections.
“I’ve chilled, actually,” she said.
But fans thought the opposite, and now an expert’s had her say.
Exclusively analyzing images and video of Kim Kardashian, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Barrett told The U.S. Sun: “Looking at the images and the video of Kim, her face appears relaxed and even frozen.
“There’s no expression or ability to move the face in the video where she’s talking about her D&G collection.
“This is typically the result of a heavy Botox dosage to the forehead area and around the eyes.
“The other thing I noticed is there’s a slight bit of rippling in Kim’s cheek, which could indicate that she might’ve had thread procedures done.
“At times Kim’s face looks a bit odd and more recently in Milan, people were asking what she had done.
“From what I can see Kim may have had Botox, a Botox lip flip, threads, and liposuction around her knees.
“Over the last six months, Kim could have spent around $36,000 on cosmetic procedures.”
Recently, the billionaire influencer may have felt under increased pressure to look her very best.
Her new partnership with D&G comes after a rocky end to her relationship with Balenciaga, which first propelled Kim onto the world’s fashion stage.
Kim distanced herself from Balenciaga over their controversial SS23 ad campaign featuring children holding teddies and wearing bondage gear, and D&G beckoned.
Kim had worn D&G at her sister Kourtney’s Portofino wedding and while she caught the eye of its two lead designers, it also gave them a much-needed publicity boost.
By September 2022, Kim was busily co-designing with D&G with her Ciao Kim collection bringing in iconic looks alongside her personal favorites.
“First and foremost, it’s my opinion that Kim looks to have had Botox on the majority of her face around September 2022,” says Dr. Barrett.
“This includes her forehead, the sides of her eyes, and also the brows.
“There’s no movement in her face apart from her lips and when she’s talking.
“At this point, her lips look to have had filler in them while there is some Botox there as well.
“Her lip is definitely ‘everted’ which means turned inside out or outward which can be a sign of filler or a Botox lip flip.”
A Botox lip flip is a procedure where the treatment relaxes muscle in the upper lip.
It causes the lip to flip up and gives the appearance of a fuller upper lip.
“For September 2022, the Botox could have cost her up to $2000 and the lip flip could have cost her up to $1200,” says Dr. Barrett.
“Threads which go under the skin and stimulate collagen can be expensive.
“They cost up to $1000 for a single thread to up to $20000 for a full-on thread facelift.”
More recently in Milan, Kim was busily sashaying around fashion week as D&G’s premium model and muse.
With all eyes on her, the event also saw Kim pose during their runway show and inside their exclusive store, while changing outfits four times.
The day culminated in a star-studded private afterparty when Kim arrived arm-in-arm with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
“The latest lips we saw in Milan appear to be a recent lip lift and or a Botox lip flip as well, so that would have cost Kim another $1200,” adds Dr. Barrett.
“In my professional opinion, she may even have had both.
“This lip flip is a popular procedure we perform to flip the top lip upwards creating a slope along the philtral ridge.
“It shortens the area between the nose and lips which can make the face look more youthful and the lips more full.
“With her cheeks, threads typically last a few months up to a year and while I don’t see any visible sign of threads I can see some rippling.
“In Milan in February 2023 Kim also appears to be experiencing contour irregularities on her outer left leg and some very wrinkly and unnatural-looking knees.
“She’s experiencing aging which could contribute to the wrinkles on the knees.
“However the unnatural appearance is typically a tell-tale sign of areas that have undergone multiple procedures, in this case, I would say lipo.
“In the Milan photos something looks a bit off with her knees.
“It’s hard to tell but it appears that she had had some sort of liposuction procedure on her knees or surrounding them in the past.
“This would have removed some of the typical fat that you would normally see on the legs and knees and for a leg the size of hers.
“It’s hard to be certain but most knees typically don’t appear to be this wrinkly.
“There are procedures that you can do to improve this again such as liposuction with a skin tightening procedure.
“This procedure she might have done can cost up to $12000 dollars.
“As far as aging and changing cosmetic treatments, Kim would definitely have to keep her age in mind.
“It can be exhausting, trying to keep up with all the various areas of the body.
“Face, hands, knees, arms, and most patients age differently in different areas of the body already.
“It can definitely be a lot to keep up with especially as we age quicker as we get older.
“It ultimately becomes an expensive consistent anti-aging regime.”
