Khloe Kardashian says the new family reality show will address Tristan Thompson’s paternity scandal as ‘respectfully’ as possible after he fathered a child with a personal trainer.

The 37-year-old reality star revealed  in a recent interview with Variety that upcoming The Kardashians show on Hulu will touch on the 30-year-old NBA star impregnating Maralee Nichols.

Khloe said that the series will indeed address the scandal but with respect as the significant others and ex-partners did not sign up for it.

She explained: ‘It will be addressed on the show. We try as a family to protect the privacy of our partners or significant others, since they didn’t really sign up for this; we did.

‘But if something is really public like this was, it would be strange if Tristan was a part of the show and then all of a sudden he disappears and we don’t ever talk about it.’

The mother-of-one went on to say that it is important to keep the show as real of possible for diehard fans but also be fair to anyone who has been involved with the famous family.

Khloe said: ‘Viewers will almost feel slighted, like we aren’t sharing things and it’s not as real. So yes, we do address it. I always try to be as respectful as possible, but it is reality.

‘But it’s not going to be some long, drawn-out situation. I think people are probably a little tired of it.’

On Monday, January 3 Tristan took to his Instagram to admit that he had fathered his third child with a third woman as he wrote:’Today paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions.

‘Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately.’

Tristan then spoke directly to the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star whom he first started dating in 2016.

He wrote: ‘Khloe, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years.

‘My actions have certainly not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry,’ his statement read.

She also said  that tabloids are ‘more vicious’ in their coverage of her than the rest of her family.

The star revealed that she tries to focus on her ‘blessings’ rather than the negative comments but has an especially hard time shaking off rumors that she isn’t related to her sisters because they ‘look different.’

‘It was always emphasized that they were so much prettier,’ she said.

Khloe was joined by sisters Kim and Kourtney, as well as momager Kris Jenner, for the wide-ranging interview ahead of their new Hulu series.

The family is written about countless times a day in the media but Khloe said there is a noticeable difference in headlines about her versus the rest of the Kardashian-Jenners.

‘It definitely is tough. None of us get it — my sisters will talk about it, like, ‘Why are they so much more vicious towards you?’ We don’t have an explanation for that,’ Khloe revealed.

‘None of us really understand, and there’s no rhyme or reason. The more it happens, the more you become numb to it, but that doesn’t mean you’re completely immune to it,’ she continued.

Khloe says the ‘good definitely outweighs the bad’ and she tries to focus on the many reasons she has to be grateful instead of dwelling in the negative.  However, at times certain meanness in the media can ruin her day.

‘You have to talk to yourself a little bit and remind yourself all these good things, because you do tend to hear a lot of negative in this position,’ the reality star explained. ‘This isn’t ‘woe is me,’ but sometimes you have to remind yourself about all the good, because the negative can consume you. And that’s not the reality.’

Some of the most hurtful comments and headlines about her were the ones questioning Khloe’s parentage and suggesting she was not really related to Kim, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie because she didn’t look like them.

‘It was always emphasized that they were so much prettier,’ she said. ‘And that’s just really poor taste. Those things were definitely really hurtful, just to always be compared to them, especially in the fashion or beauty world comparing our bodies or faces.’

Another area of her life that has been ripe for tabloid fodder is her off-again relationship with serial cheater Tristan Thompson, with whom she shares daughter True.

The Good American founder revealed to Variety that she will discuss the recent cheating scandal involving her ex Tristan Thompson, who fathered a baby with another woman while they were still together.

‘Also, I’m very vulnerable and very transparent and I’ve had my relationships in the public eye,’ she said. ‘If your significant other is doing something wrong, for the woman to be blamed, that’s always been really hurtful for me.’

‘I’ve never quite understood that instead of there being some sympathy or like, ‘Wow, that must really suck to have to go through that.’ And not only go through it, but then go through it so publicly,’ she continued. ‘I don’t even care if people have sympathy. I just don’t understand why there’s so much finger pointing – like it must be me. That’s a heavy thing to carry.’

During the interview, Khloe relayed that she wished she did not have to talk about her ex and his most recent infidelity but understands that it is the job.

She also revealed that the basketball star, 30, will be on the show as well.

Thompson confirmed in January that he’d conceived a son with model Maralee Nichols. She welcomed the baby, named Theo, on December 1. Thompson also shares a five-year-old son Prince with ex Jordan Craig.

‘I wish I never had to talk about that because it’s not a fun thing to talk about,’ Khloe said. ‘But it is part of my journey in life, so we will see it on the show.’
