Good Morning Lively Stones,

I am sharing my full story here because Mama Jzhane advised me, after our chat this morning. The thing is, I feel like a lot of ladies may be on the same table like me and I want to get some advise and clarity. This is 2024, we no dey gree for anybody is our mantra. So family, I sked Mama Jzhane a question yesterday, I asked her if I can do a surprise proposal to my boyfriend of three years. I am tired of waiting for my boyfriend to pop the question, he seems like he is not going to…I hope after reading this too, he will know how serious I am.

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost three years. He is a very nice partner and I love him deeply. He even introduced me to Lively Stones. When we met, we both started as friends, gradually fell in love. For us, we are still upcoming financially in the first two years of the relationship. And since he is the first son of his family, alot of responsibilities are on him from his family.

However, I started a business last year and things have slowly but surely moved for me. I am able to do alot of things financially and my boyfriend is aware that I am ok financially. But every time I bring up the issue of marriage, he keeps saying he wants to attain a certain level of income before he gets married. Currently, he earns almost 200k a month but he is always saying that is not the kind of income to get married on.

From my business, I make roughly 200k profit a month. I feel with both income, getting married will be fine for both of us. Its been almost three years, I do not think there is a perfect time to get married. If my man won’t propose, I want to propose or otherwise, what are we doing together exactly? After almost three years? Its not like I lack attention from other men. I get alot of attention but my fear is, I don’t want to waste my time with someone who may not end up marrying me.

Personally, I feel his reason for not proposing is valid but not enough. He knows I support him financially without him asking. I send monies to his family once in a while, we do everything together like man and wife yet he won’t propose? I feel like, he is too comfortable with me being around him. Maybe he is getting the milk for free and so does not want to buy the cow right? I am getting quite frustrated. I am tired of giving free milk…why won’t he marry me yet? Seriously, money???
