“Most of my family is from country A, and I grew up in country B. Whenever I’d go to country A to visit my family, he wasn’t there because he lived abroad in country C for a few years.

“Some of our relatives had already told us we had to meet each other because we were quite similar (we like a lot of the same things etc), and now he’s back in country A and I finally got to see him, and we instantly bonded.”

The young woman explained that after spending lots of time together, even other family members noticed their connection.

She added: “We would hang out every day since he’s on holiday, and go to the beach, he’d take me to touristic places…

“His sister started to make jokes about us being a couple and at first I was a bit grossed out, because, I mean, we’re RELATED!

“And then he told me that our family is huge (our grandparents gave birth to 10 kids…and eight of them had children), and a lot of people have hooked up with their cousins, including our uncle who’s now actually married to one.

“I have to say that made me feel less disgusted about it and as we got closer I had to fight the thoughts in my head about him more and more. We have the same last name!”

But after falling asleep together in the same bed, things soon progressed to the next level, as she shared: “And then one day, we fell asleep on the same bed, woke up during the night, and made out for hours.

Not only this, but she also shared her added concerns, as she admitted: “And we didn’t use a condom but today he told me he was sorry and that it was very irresponsible of him, that I should take the morning after pill just to be sure, and he could send me the money to get it and wish he was here with me to hug me.

“I feel so guilty about everything. I know he likes me, but I don’t see a future in this, because I can’t even bear to imagine the family’s reaction, he talks about visiting me in country B and tells me he is in love with me, but I can’t even think about it in that way despite the fact I like him because I can’t shut up all these voices in my head.”
