Emily In Paris star Lily Collins looks oh so chic at premiere in LA… but the savage season four reviews aren’t so pretty
Lily Collins led the top-tier glamour at the premiere of Emily In Paris season four in Los Angeles on Wednesday night — as critics slam the latest ‘boring’ installment.
The leading lady, 35 — who plays the hit Netflix‘s show’s titular role of Emily Cooper — looked sensational in a glitzy strapless black frock.
She was joined on the red carpet by her stunning co-star Ashley Park and supermodel Taylor Hill, among other attendees.
Lily’s dress had a sparkly beaded bodice, a peplum waist and a sexy sheer diamond-print skirt.
Each diamond was decked out in dazzling black sequins that caught the light as Lily posed for shutterbugs on the event’s pink carpet.
Her jaw-length brunette hair was styled sleek and straight.
As for makeup, the daughter of music legend Phil Collins rocked fluttery lashes and a satin maroon lip that complimented her milky, pale complexion.
With so much sparkle in her look, Lily kept accessories to a minimum.
She had on a pair of silver drop earrings and the rose-cut diamond engagement ring she received from husband Charlie McDowell, 41, in 2021.
The Mirror Mirror star carefully stepped down the pink carpet steps outside The Egyptian Theatre in black stilettos.
The long-awaited fourth season of Emily In Paris will hit Netflix on Thursday, August 15 at midnight.
The 10-episode season will air in two parts. The second half will debut on September 12.
Emily In Paris follows Emily Cooper (Collins), a social media savvy 20-something from Chicago, who lands her dream job at the luxury fashion marketing firm Savoir in Paris, France.
Season four is expected to lift the lid on Emily’s love triangle with Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) and Gabriel (Lucas Bravo).
As for her work, Emily’s blogging of her love life will cause her to clash once again with her boss Sylvie Grateau (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu).
Lily looked confident as she celebrated the latest Emily In Paris chapter — but early reviews have savaged season four as ‘boring.’

The Guardian‘s Leila Latif slammed Emily In Paris for ‘[morphing] into a black hole devoid of plot, charisma and intrigue’ after four seasons.
They go as far as to say that ‘nothing happens’ in the first five episodes despite there being ample opportunity for drama via Emily’s messy love life and work pressures.
‘To say that this is as thrilling as watching paint dry would be a disservice to the many excellent shades of paint,’ Latif writes.
They did compliment Sex and the City costume designer Patricia Fields’ costumes but described the show’s Paris-inspired set design as ‘shoddy.’
The Guardian gave Emily In Paris season four, part one a brutal one-star rating.
The Irish Independent‘s Pat Stacey labeled both the show and Lily’s Emily ‘annoying’ and accused producers of creating a ‘whitewashed’ version of Paris.
They wrote that the series lacks any ‘racial and cultural diversity’ outside of a few POC characters and called out the ridiculousness of Emily still being unable to speak French.
Most of the criticism was for Emily, who Stacey sees as a ‘tone-deaf and entitled’ character who is somehow ‘irresistible’ to all in the Emily In Paris universe.
