DOI’s Brianne Delcourt and her husband Kevin Kilbane name their newborn daughter Keavy Anne

Brianne Delcourt and her husband Kevin Kilbane have revealed they’ve named their newborn daughter Keavy Anne – a combination of both theirs – while detailing her dramatic arrival.

The former Dancing On Ice professional, 41, outlined a ‘horrendous’ one hour C-section where ‘blood spattered’ in her face, along with the ex professional footballer, 45.

Confessing he felt ‘helpless’ while his wife suffered numerous complications, the Everton player soon found their ‘helpless baby’ with tubes down her throat.

Their little one had taken away by midwives – however he opted to keep his discovery from his wife, claiming later that the ordeal ‘hadn’t really been fully explained to them’.

Weighing 7lb, Keavy hadn’t been breathing properly and it wasn’t until five minutes had passed since her birth that she let out her first cry, which the pair have described as ‘beautiful’.

Explaining her traumatic birthing experience, Brianne told OK! Magazine: ‘Kevin came in and all of a sudden I started to get really sweaty and started to see stars and I looked at the doctor and said, “I’m going to pass out here. I’m going to go.”

‘But they gave me whatever they gave me and I perked up, but the actual surgery took the longest out of my births. With the other two girls it was a 30-minute procedure and then I could hear a cry, but with Keavy it was way over an hour.

‘I had a really bad feeling. My obstetrician kept saying, “It’s fine, she just doesn’t want to come out!” And then after an hour and 20 minutes, the doctor was like, “You’re going to feel a lot of pressure because we’ve got to get her out now.”‘

She went on to reveal how ‘there was this pop’ before she ‘didn’t hear a thing’. At this stage, she was ‘panicking’ and begging Kevin to tell her what was going on.

Fortunately, their little one was in safe hands – despite the numerous complications ‘that could have been a lot worse’.

Earlier this month, Brianne revealed she had finally been discharged from hospital after welcoming her baby daughter three days earlier.

Brianne is also a mother to daughter Gracie, five, while Kevin also has two daughters – Elsie, 18, and Isla, 17 – from his previous marriage to ex-wife Laura.

In her latest snap she wore a comfy black tracksuit and gave a thumbs up while Kevin carried the baby carrier next to her and wore a face mask.

She penned in the caption: ‘We finally got discharged from the hospital tonight and got to bring the most precious little beauty home tonight to her sisters and family.

‘My baby girl, you have been worth it all. We love you and so proud of the little brave soldier you are. My angel! You complete us.’

Brianne confirmed the arrival of their baby girl on Friday morning in Canada.

They told OK!: ‘Our beautiful baby girl born 8:37am ET. We can’t wait to take you home to meet your sisters.’

Brianne gave birth to her daughter, who they have been referring to as ‘Baby K’, via a caesarean section after doctors decided it would be the safest option for her.

Ahead of the birth, Brianne admitted to OK! that she was ‘dreading’ having her third C-section as she said she took eight weeks to recover after her last birth.

The couple announced in November that they were expecting their second child, as they also share Olivia, 14 months.

Last month, the happy couple were eagerly counting down to the little tot’s arrival, with Kevin remarking: ‘The wait is nearly over.’

He shared a sweet lakeside snap with Brianne and paid tribute to his wife as he praised her ‘strength and character’.

The image saw Kevin standing behind Brianne and gently holding her bare bump as they both posed for the camera.

While the Irish star kept things casual in a white shirt and khaki trousers, Brianne looked glamorous in a navy lace number which showed off her stomach and legs.

Captioning his post, Kevin penned: ‘The wait is nearly over. Baby K arrives shortly to add to our crazy house..

‘To my incredible wife @brianne_tv for all The worry, the pain, the sleepless nights, the tiredness, the sickness, bloody Covid, the hospital visits alone, too many tests to mention, the endless wait for news of tests, the life & career changes you’ve made, the guilty feelings for lacking time with your babies (which isn’t true) and feeling every emotion possible every day.

‘Your strength & character amaze me. You’re the best mother there is. You look as beautiful as you ever have. I am so proud to spend the rest of my life with you. You got this girl! #forevershowgirl❤️❤️x.’

Meanwhile, Brianne shared a gushing caption as she admitted that she couldn’t wait to meet her baby.
