Call The Midwife’s Leonie Elliott has confirmed her exit as nurse Lucille Robinson after six years in the role.
The actress, 34, took to Instagram on Monday to share snaps from her final day on set as well as an emotional goodbye to viewers.
It comes after the performer appeared to hint at the news in January as she shared her plans of finding ‘purpose’ in 2023.
The beloved character last appeared on the BBC series in the second episode of the current series after her character returned from Jamaica having been diagnosed with crippling depression.

‘Having spent 6 years on a truly wonderful show, with a fantastic team I have fallen deeper and deeper in love with Lucille’.
‘I feel honoured to have represented the pioneering Windrush generation and their incredible impact on British society’.
‘I would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to the brilliant cast and out uber talented creative team: Heidi Thomas, Pippa Harris and Annie Tricklebank’.
‘Thank you again for all your support, it is hugely appreciated. Super excited for what’s coming next’.
She captioned the snaps: ‘Over and out precious’.

Fans had been concerned for the character after her husband Cyril bought her a ticket to the country earlier in the season.
It comes after it emerged Call The Midwife fan favourites are set to return for the next series despite storylines suggesting they might leave.
The news which is sure to delight viewers comes just days after the BBC announced that the popular TV show will air until at least 2026.
And now, the return of much loved characters Trixie, Matthew, Monica Joan and Cyril, have been confirmed.
Viewers of the show feared that Trixie Franklin, who is played by Helen George, might leave the drama after her wedding to Matthew Aylward (Olly Rix).
Scenes revealed that she will finally get her happily ever after, but many fans were left worrying that the couple might leave east London.

Olly told the Mirror: ‘Their focus is on changing things around them. It doesn’t seem to be remotely in their characters to just hang that all up now and enjoy the quiet life. That’s not who they are.’
Actress Helen added: ‘They’ve got so much work to do there and they’re both very driven, so I can’t see them moving away.’
There was also fears for Sister Monica Joan (Judy Parfitt) who is currently ill with hepatitis.
A source told MailOnline that Trixie, Matthew, Monica Joan and Cyril will all be returning for the next series.
The BBC has confirmed that Call The Midwife will return for two more seasons, keeping it on air until at least 2026.

Filming for the next series of the much-loved drama is due to begin in spring.
Meanwhile, the highly anticipated final episode of the current series – which promised of a wedding between Trixie (Helen George) and Matthew (Olly Rix) – aired on Sunday.
The show is set in the 1950s and 1960s in London’s East End – and focuses on a group of midwives in a nursing convent.

Call The Midwife regularly attracts millions of hits, including the most recent Christmas special which received 8.5 million viewers, making it one of the most successful shows on British TV.
