Brit Awards 2022 LIVE – Adele to make MASSIVE UK comeback as show goes ‘gender neutral’; what time & who’s performing?
THE Brit Awards 2022 ceremony kicks off TONIGHT, with singing sensation Adele making a rare live appearance.
Tonight’s star-studded Brits bash – which airs from 8pm on ITV – will feature performances from Ed Sheeran, Liam Gallagher & Little Simz.
And pop superstar Adele – who also leads the pack with four gong nominations – will also perform during the awards ceremony.
Radio DJ Clara Amfo and broadcaster Maya Jama will welcome award nominees during the red carpet show, with the good and great of the music world attending London’s O2 Arena.
Comedian Mo Gilligan will host this year’s ceremony, replacing Jack Whitehall who has helmed the event in recent years.
The news comes after Grammy-winning singer postponed her Las Vegas Caesars Palace residency at short notice, with Grammy-winning country music star Keith Urban stepping in to replace her.

Madonna’s fall live on stage in 2015 was voted the most embarrassing moment to ever happen at the BRIT Awards according to new research.
The findings by a survey conducted by Betfair Casino show more than a quarter of fans voted for the Queen Of Pop’s cape mishap (29 per cent), while Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood hosting in 1989 closely followed in second with 16 per cent.
Jarvis Cocker flashing during Michael Jackson’s performance (10 per cent) and Adele flipping the bird (10 per cent) also made up the top five biggest blunders
Fans crowned Adele’s rendition of Someone Like You in 2011 as their most memorable performance from previous ceremonies, with the singer stealing 18 per cent of the total vote
Fans also had their say on their favourite host so far, with much-loved duo Ant and Dec (22 per cent) beating out comedians James Corden (19 per cent) and Jack Whitehall (16 per cent) to take the title

The chart-topping megastar- who is also friends with most of Hollywood – looked cool in a blue velvet suit as he arrived for the awards.
The Shape Of You singer will also be performing during tonight’s show.

Maya Jama stuns on the Brit Awards 2022 red carpet
MAYA Jama looked sensational as she became the first celebrity on the Brits red carpet tonight.
The TV presenter, 27, rolled up at The O2 in south-east London’s a full four hours before the ceremony was due to begin.
She has to be the first person there as she is conducting the red-carpet interviews for the event.
Yesterday Maya – who recently revealed she is engaged to basketball star Ben Simmons – explained she was having a special massage ahead of the ceremony.
She said: “I want my belly out for Brits and I’ve been eating McDonald’s like a pig, so I will update you on what’s happening.”
She was joined on the red carpet by Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo, who is also on presenting duties on the red carpet tonight.

The London-inspired Roblox venue features neon-lit skyscrapers, as well as local landmarks like the London Eye.
Before the PinkPantheress concert debuts, players can participate in activities like scavenger hunts, and collect hidden BRIT Award statuettes.
There’s even virtual BRITs merch on offer, as well as the chance to meet artists and celebs via in-game meet-and-greets.

Mo Gilligan says it’s his ‘absolute privilege to host this year’s Brits
Speaking about his hosting duties after he was announced as host, Mo Gilligan said: “It’s an absolute privilege to host the 2022 Brit Awards. I’m truly honoured to be asked.
“We’re already in the extensive planning stages and all I can say is, I promise we’re going to give it all we’ve got to create an incredible night for music fans everywhere.

Jack Whitehall replaced as host this year
Long-running host Jack Whitehall has stepped down from his presenting duties due to being out in America filming.
Instead, The Masked Singer panelist Mo Gilligan will host the main show along with Maya Jama and Clara Amfo hosting the Brits Red Carpet show.

Adele Laurie Blue Adkins MBE is a 33-year-old English singer and songwriter.
She last performed live in November 2021 on two TV specials to promote her new album 30.
She has four nominations at this year’s Brits, with her new album 30 up for the coveted album of the year prize.

Inflo to receive Producer of The Year award
Record producer and songwriter Inflo, real name Dean Josiah Cover, will be presented with his Brits producer of the year award during the red carpet show, after he was named as an early winner.
Inflo helped produce Adele’s record-breaking comeback record 30, which has been nominated for album of the year at the ceremony alongside Little Simz’s record.

Elton John receives first nominations in 20 years
Sir Elton John received his first Brit nomination in 20 years, in the song of the year category for his collaboration with Dua Lipa – who is also nominated for the best pop/R&B act gong.
Other nominees include Joy Crookes, Coldplay, Little Mix and KSI.
