Arabella Del Busso has wished her ex-boyfriend Josh Reynolds ‘all the best’ in a new interview, three years after she sensationally faked pregnancies and miscarriages because she feared the NRL player would break up with her.

The controversial glamour model, 31, confessed to her deception under interrogation on SAS Australia in 2020, before quitting the show shortly afterwards.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Thursday, Del Busso reflected on the headline-grabbing scandal as she prepares to make her boxing debut in May.

Del Busso, who is set to fight influencer Papi Katarina at the Pretender to Contender: Winner Takes All match in Melbourne on May 14, said: ‘Everyone is going to judge me based on things that they’ve seen.

‘I kind of just want people to see the real person I am, not how someone portrays me or what stories have been told. Don’t get me wrong, we’re all far from perfect. Yes, we’ve made mistakes in life, but it doesn’t determine the good that you are.

‘I’m done with Josh. It’s been two, three years now. I just want to enjoy my life, move forward and just kind of be painted in somewhat of a nice light.

‘I don’t focus on him or what he’s doing. I wish him all the very best, despite what happened.’

She continued: ‘People come into your life for a reason. He taught me a lesson, and it was a lesson learned. I can only move forward from that, there’s no point in dwelling on it.’

Del Busso said she hopes her boxing debut will allow the public to see her in a different light.

‘Win or lose, it is what it is. It gets it out of your comfort zone. I’m not doing it for anyone else but myself,’ she said.

‘I’ve been through some s**t, and I’ve had some hate out there. There’s three sides to a story, but it doesn’t determine the person I am.

‘Everyone’s going to judge me for boxing, and do whatever they can to dislike me, but I don’t really give a s**t anymore. It doesn’t worry me.

‘At the end of the day, I am who I am and I’m enjoying life and that’s what it’s all about.’

The boxing event, which is hosted by Team Ellis, will be headlined by The Block’s Luke Packham and AFL star Clay Smith. Tickets are available from $100.

During her appearance on SAS Australia in 2020, Del Busso spoke about her ill-fated relationship with Reynolds and the ‘scrutiny’ she’d faced since their split.

After meeting the footballer on Instagram in December 2018, Del Busso had a one-night stand with him before claiming she was pregnant with twins.

She later told Reynolds she’d miscarried, before claiming she was pregnant again in March 2019, only to ‘miscarry’ again.

Del Busso claimed to have been pregnant once again in June, sending her then-boyfriend a series of 12-week ultrasound scans, which she’d actually found online.

‘I told my partner that I had a pregnancy scare, and I showed it to him and said it was ours, when in fact, it wasn’t our scan at all,’ she confessed to the SAS directing staff, after being pressed for the truth.

The ex-soldiers asked her what had prompted her to lie about the pregnancy, and Del Busso admitted the relationship was ‘coming to an end’.

‘I didn’t know how to deal with losing someone…’ she said.

When asked if her plan was to ‘cheat the person into staying with you’, Del Busso said she’d just wanted ‘to try and draw him back in’.

She then started to cry uncontrollably, and said she ‘hates’ talking about the scandal.

The DS told Del Busso she would never be able to move forward with her life if she couldn’t be honest with herself, before having her escorted back to the camp.

‘I have told a lie, but the way that I see it, a little white lie here or there is not going to hurt anyone,’ she later admitted.

But the interrogation left her feeling exposed and vulnerable, and the following morning, Del Busso announced she was quitting the series.

‘I’ve had to survive, I’ve had to make mistakes along the way to realise, “Okay, you know what, you can’t do that in life,”‘ she said.

‘But it is what it is. I can’t take it back. It’s just a matter of moving forward now.’

Before her interrogation on SAS Australia, Del Busso had avoided confessing to faking pregnancies and miscarriages while with Reynolds.

However, she did admit on 60 Minutes she’d passed off another woman’s ultrasound scan as her own ‘because I was being spiteful’.
