The Office of Administration (CAC) has recently announced the development of a website and the integration of an online registration “portal” that allows modification of certain services and processes in accordance with federal law. The services and processes selected to operate in Nigeria include:
a. Electronic search of company records:
Companies can now visit the CAC’s portal (https://search.cac.gov.ng/home) to confirm their corporate information in the CAC’s registry, for an application fee of N1,000.
b. Upgraded Companies Registration Portal for:
Pre-Registration Filing: This upgrade allows investors and professionals to complete and submit pre-registration applications for new companies through the Approval Portal. (https://pre.cac.gov.ng/login) Once the application is approved, the CAC will no longer issue the actual certificate. To allow users to download electronic certificates of the company (e-certificate)
