Frankie Bridge’s husband Wayne admits that he will be voting for her to do ‘every challenge’

She was voted in by the public to take on the first trial ahead of Sunday’s show.

And on Saturday, Frankie Bridge’s husband Wayne cheekily admitted that he will be voting for his wife to compete in every trial at Gwrych Castle in Wales.

The 42-year-old former footballer says that he is convinced Frankie, 32, voted for him to do the bush-tucker trials when he took part in the 2016 series.

Wayne confessed that he would love to see The Saturday’s singer take on an eating challenge on the show as he thinks that it will be ‘comedy gold’.

Speaking in an exclusive with The Sun the former footballer said: ‘I’ll be voting for Frankie to do every single challenge, don’t you worry. Not that I want her to suffer, but I think it’ll be really entertaining. I want to see her reaction, I think it will be brilliant.’

He added: ‘But I think she’ll struggle with the eating trial. We did a little one for her here, and I gave her ketchup, which she hates. She was retching afterwards and then was almost sick.’

He said that despite the at-home eating challenge not going down too well, that Frankie couldn’t bare to return to the camp empty handed so he’s sure that she will battle through and give anything a go.

The couple share two young children together Parker, 8 and Carter, 6, with Wayne admitting that she be missed at home.

The 2021 series of the show, which begins on Sunday, will be the longest duration stars have spent in the haunted Welsh castle, as this year’s programme lasts three weeks, with a total of 25 cruel challenges.

The toughest test will be her three week separation from her boys as the close knit family rarely spend time a part.

Wayne, who finished in fifth place, said that he would love to see Frankie get further in the challenge than he did and be crowned Queen.

Although, he confessed that their youngest son Carter is a bit worried about his mother taking on the challenges.

He penned: ‘For me preparation has always been key, so as an ex #ImACeleb contestant we thought we’d better prep @FrankieBridge for the show… all I can say is… get voting, if this is her reaction to ketchup, it’s going to be comedy gold!’

This comes after Frankie and Good Morning presenter Richard Madeley, 65, were voted by the public to compete in the first trial ahead on Sundays show.

Turrets of Terror will see the duo have to retrieve the key to the castle. Both Frankie and Richard had to endure the challenge with critters all over them.

For Richard and Frankie’s challenge, Ant McPartlin explained: ‘Hanging high in the air between the two turrets are two giant keys. The first celebrity to make their way to the top and grab their key will win.’

Oh no! He went on: 'Each Turret is made up of three floors with stairs leading to the next level. However, to get to the next level you need to go through a locked gate'

Brace yourself! Because it was a Trial, both Frankie and Richard had to endure the challenge with critters all over them.

He went on: ‘Each Turret is made up of three floors with stairs leading to the next level. However, to get to the next level you need to go through a locked gate.

‘On each floor you must retrieve the keys to unlock the three padlocks to open each gate. When you get to the roof of the turret you must use your lance to hook your key and drag it over to you. The first celebrity to retrieve their key has won.’

The winning team so far got to choose between Frankie or Richard to represent them whilst the other would go on to represent the other team.

The five unlucky celebrities who lose out in the show’s opening trial will be forced to spend their first few nights in The Clink – a brand new rival camp with hellish living conditions.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! airs on Sunday at 9pm on ITV & ITV Hub.
