Opinion: 3 main reasons for postponing the N-Power Batch C program.

In the face of rising youth unemployment and poor social development, President Muhammadu Buhari considered it advisable to address these issues.

N-Power is a program launched in 2016. June 8 Under the National Social Investment Program, to create the structure needed for the acquisition and development of relevant work skills on a large scale.

However, the N-Power program is largely an initiative of President Muhammadu Buhari of the All-Progressive Congress (APC).

He has successfully included Nigerians in Groups A and B to start a business based on the skills he has learned, but the current Batch C seems to be delayed for some reason.

This article describes three things that can occur due to a delay in the Batch C NPower scheme.

Slow selection process.

According to previous N-Power statistics, more than a million young men and women applied to the N-Power program within 48 hours of launching the portal.

But Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Sadiya Farouq once announced on her Twitter page that, just 16 days after the portal opened, at least 4.48 million

With this in mind, the sheer number of applicants will certainly offset N-Power’s staff, making the selection process slow.

Second, train state and local government monitoring teams.

Monitoring groups are reportedly being set up by state and local governments. Without a monitoring group, no government would ever promote and implement the program.

N-Power is currently coaching its team to 36 Nigerian states and 774 local governments, according to the report. This increases the delay.

Third, there is not enough money to fund the program.

Given the global impact of Covid-19 on the economies of countries such as Nigeria, the federal government has encouraged further borrowing.

In fact, it is believed that the government is still raising funds to implement the Batch-C program.
